Hi everyone, I just started the game but love it already. I've been doing a lot of reading and still don't feel like I've scratched the surface. I plan on getting a premium account and a whole lot more cash in a few days.
My question is this, should all my horses that aren't all Ps and Es be tossed out? From what I'm reading it doesn't seem that Superb horses are worth much and don't do well in shows. Can P and E horses be found in the wild? I'm attracted to the wild horses because I'd like to start my breeding lines from scratch. Thanks for any help!

When your starting out you are going to get lots of horses with Ss and As and possibly Subs. Higher rating horses make more money but they cost more money. New players should not capture horses. My friend has played for over 1 rl year and no captures with an E in it maybe even non with Ps, but yes horses with Ps and Es can be found itÂ’s just very hard. You really should buy horses to start. A Premium wonÂ’t really help you much as a new player. The getting a whole lot of cash is not a bad idea, just donÂ’t spend it on items, arts or games. If I where you IÂ’d start off by buying lots of great show horses(any breed works).

When I went and looked at your I saw that you had the wrong horses. What you should do is you buy lots of PPP gelding ps in any breed, preferably age 3+ and maybe even level 3+. Set free all of the horses you captured. Spending the 750 to rate them isnÂ’t worth it. Capturing horses will only lose you money.

If capturing horses is a losing proposition, where did good breeding stock come from to begin with? Where did the P and E horses come from originally? They had to come from somewhere and the wild is the only place I know of to get foundation horses. I'd like to start my own good breeding line from scratch. I have no problems buying whatever cash I need to make that happen. I'm not adverse to buying good horses that others have bred, but I'd really like my own line from catching good horses from the wild. Is that not possible? It will take hundreds of thousands of ebs to capture a quality horse. Yes I know the first horses in the game where captures but now that thereÂ’s good horses for sale at good prices itÂ’s really a heck of a lot smarter to buy PPP+ geldings that show well. ItÂ’s a truly a bad idea to start your lines with captures. That just makes your chance you being a good Stable from the start go away just like that.

You will take a hell of a lot longer to breed anything even close to decent if you just want to do all wild horses. And if you doing that, go out and spend $10+ on a premium so you can rate all of your horses, and also I suggest buying a couple 50-100 stall barns so you can enjoy capture parties. You could also buy a bunch of Ebs from the money fairy then.

It's your game, you can play it as you wish. I've heard of several players starting their own lines. You will eventually get to Ps and Es with your own, wild-lined horses, but be prepared that it will take a lot longer than buying PPP+ horses and starting with them. That being said, I've captured plenty of wild horses with at least 1 P or E in their rating, so maybe concentrate on a single discipline with your own line?
To showing: any horse can be a good show horse: stallion, mare, gelding of any rating. Just note that geldings train faster than stallions and mares (at least if their not on cycle supressant) and higher rated horses (Ps and Es) train up faster than horses with S or lower ratings. I'd advice you have a thorough read through the guides section of this forum and learn how to show, because that's the main source of money in this game. Then learn how to track training and don't hesitate to cull your herd and eventually you'll see improvements in your own lines.

The way it sounds there's no hope at all for a new player to begin fresh on their own and create their own unique lines from good, captured horses. It sounds like the ONLY option for us to get anywhere in the game, ever, is to buy what someone else has already bred. That isn't attractive to me. I don't want to continue what someone else has already done, begin where they left off, and benefit only from that, I'd like to do it on my own from nothing. I plan to buy more barns and hundreds of thousands in ebs funds to start. Even if I find only a couple of P/E horses to start, it IS a start. How in the world would I begin a line of my own with geldings, which is the entire reason I joined the game? I don't need them to train to make money, I can just buy funds as I need them. Honestly, now I'm a little depressed. lol
