This horse is a flaxen chestnut but it just says chestnut underneath colour. I'm pretty sure this is a bug, but please tell me if it's not!

This is a starter horse. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the options when you're choosing a starter aren't exactly specific and this can happen - The description doesn't perfectly match the horse. I've see this before. Maybe the starter horse selection needs to be updated?
