New player here... I am attempting to figure this game out, but it appears that the starting funds that are available don't leave a lot of wiggle room lol. That being said, what should I do to bring in some sort of income?
I purchased a few PPP TB mares and bred them to EEE TB stallions... Now I have a few fillies, none of which I can test until next week to see if I made good choices or not. I also bought a couple of TB geldings that were cheap but looked like they were already winning in shows a little. I entered all of these horses in shows and so far I've had a few placing really well... Other than that, I'm stuck. What should I do?? And if any of my fillies end up rating nicely, are they best kept or sold - and if sold, how do I price them?

Heya. I love to help newer players, so feel free to shoot me a PM whenever you feel <3

First off, geldings are a MUST!!! I wouldn't start any breeding yet because that's quite expensive. Just buy a TON of geldings, preferably level 3+ with a rating similar or higher to PPP. Or, you can get geldings with an E in one discipline and train/show them in just that particular discipline. Showing geldings and CSed (cycle suppressed) mares is your main source of income on HEE. Get a steady source of showing income, buy a premium upgrade, then start saving up for breeding costs. If you aren't sure how to show properly, feel free to PM me, or you could check out the forum thread "Eury's Showing Guide" in the Guides section :)

As for breeding, it seems you're going for AD (all discipline, meaning you're wanting EEE+ horses). As a general rule, most successful AD breeders use mares that are PEE+ combos, preferably EEE+, and stallions that are WEE+ combos. When you first start off, you won't have enough money to do big breedings. Eventually you will, though, and that's when you should go to Leaders>General and look for ABLB stallions that match your personal mares. Matching is a huge thing too. PM me for more info on that if you'd like.

Sale prices depend on rating, breed, gender, sire/dam, training, and (if old enough) breeding history. Wait until those fillies are rated and trained to at least week 4 or 5, then PM me their links and I'll check their worth for ya.

This game is BIG on patience. You'll have to wait to do a lot of things, but in my opinion that makes it more worthwhile :)

Hi there, and welcome in the game!
First of all I suggest you read through the game guide, as well as the guide section in the forum. You can learn the basics from there, and find explanations for most things.
Forget about breeding until you have a working show string and steady income. Invest in geldings and show them when they're ready. Again you can find guides on showing in the guide section in the forum.
