Ru, no. I go through by hand and enter all who are up 3/3 for the discipline I'm entering, so 2 bars in all 3 stats for a level one. A lot of them don't show well anyways, though. The ones that do bad get tossed till next week and Tues-Wed I only enter greens in easy show.

Is 'Color Breeder' a catch-all term? April 29, 2020 11:40 PM

Firstly, does the term 'color breeder' in HEE normally include breeder for color rarity breeders, patterns (Appaloosa, Sabino, Splash, Rabicano), and specific coat colors (like Grullo or Chestnut)?
I'm partly curious if I could more easily convey my selective breeding towards patterns and/or specific coat colors with either 'pattern breeder' or a 'phenotype breeder' instead.

Yes. Most color breeders breed for patterns and specific coat colors, I've never heard of a color breeder going for just a specific pattern or a specific base coat color, unless they were doing it combined with ratings. There are so few color breeders though that they're simply known as just "color breeders", because there is no competitive market for color breeding.

Most "color breeders" do not care for ratings at all - but just for the lowest possible number for color rarity e.g 1 of 1.

Then there are some more specific "color breeders" who go for special details like

longest color name

most homozygous pattern

only black and white sabino patterns

as many variations of grey as possible

collect brindles only ( even you can not really breed for them )

rarest color with at least a PEP+ combo rating

and many many other variations - just as one likes it!

Thanks guys. I'm not sure what happened to my post to now say 'eat braizzzer' so much, but this is an informative thread all the same.
My 'color program' is really just for fun on the side, but I gathered together PONs with PPP ratings that I thought were pretty, or might have more pretty foals with at least the same ratings. I might eventually try to breed for homozygous patterns and traits, but I'm not there yet right now.

Lol this thread is awesome.
When I was a color eat brainzzzer, I didn't even look at the genetics, I would just eat brainzzz to the zombie army with longest color names and the little zombie bebehs would often be 1/1, 1/2. I would fr (rarely sell, no one bought) all zombie army that were less rare than 1/3. It was so easy to be rich because I didn't have to spend ebs on hay, riders, eat brainzzzing (most studs were free) or anything. As those before me said, color eat brainzzzers can have different goals.
(I'm not going to pretend, I replied just for the eat braizzers)
