I have been playing this game for ages but mostly blindly trying to figure it out.
I'm planning on pretty much starting this account again to actually learn how to show. What's the best way to do this? I've only ever used the barn manager Is there any reason to keep my premium while I'm not breeding? Then when I do start breeding again, which breed has the best community? (Active clubs with benefits etc)

Also 25 vs 50 vs 100 horse barns/pastures which would I be better off with size wise? I have plent of ebs so cost isn't really an issue I was think pasture for my geldings but not sure about size

100 stall pastures or barns are definitely the best, you get the most space for your money. Personally I like keeping all my permanant horses in barns and then enough pastures to grow hay for them all. The barn manager isn't bad if you don't know how to show by looking at the horse but I make more money showing on my own than with her, even when I have it set to show only competitive horses. If you're only showing, not breeding yet premium isn't as important but it helps a lot with riders since you can easily reassign and consolidate riders, so that's up to you really if you think it's worth it just to use those benefits. I'm not sure of any super useful clubs for SH but I also don't breed them, ISH has Implementing Irish, TB's and WB have Thoroughbred Warmblood Society or something like that, X have a few different clubs that I use on my SA, so not one main on but plenty of benefits, KNN also have a few with discounts to a lot of the top boys, I have no experience with RID, none that I know of with AA either but since they're a pretty popular breed there are probably a few. Picking a breed really depends on how much of a challenge you want, RID and KNN are both difficult and PONs aren't easy either.

100 stall pasture or barn for sure. The barn manager is handy of you have little time to spend on the game. I make more money without her. Premium is nice for rider management and for saturday shows, but for showing it's not that important. I've seen plenty of AA and TB clubs being active but I'm not in one myself. Maybe look around on the breed specific club pages? (search--> clubs)

What's the best guide for showing?

Eury's is pretty good. I'm currently trying out different showing guides and meshing a brand new one of my own.

How profitable is growing hay?

I make 200-300k each month with selling hay, plus I keep enough for my own horses meaning I don't have to spent anything on feed.
