Hi all! Funny question; how do you all name your show horses/geldings? Is there specfic things you include to identify hem easier?

I like to be able to have my geldings easily identifiable if I need to find them in my BM list, so I just pull up baby name lists online and use all of them. :)

Gotcha! Thats what I have been doing. Just wanted to see if others do it differently with certain "icons" for different meanings.

My show geldings on my SA are all just their ID numbers, but it's hard to think of names for mass amounts of horses so all my bravery horses just get city names. I pick a random state/country each RO and go through and name them after cities from there.

I used to have mine as their horse number, but it became impossible with wild captures and bravery rating. So now they're all named "Cash Cow xxxx", in numerical order. Cash Cow 0001, Cash Cow 0002, and so on. Time consuming but I know who my geldings are.

my geldings are in this format "Discipline Gelding #~~ - Rating" example: E Gelding 2 - PPP

Mine get their ID number, their rating, their sex, and their discipline e.g., 123456 PPP G D. That way I can tell at a glance who's in what group bc I have a lot these days.

Mine are all AD shown, so they all end up looking something like this: ❦ 35736456 EWE. It's really just their ID number and their rating, so that I can tell when they might be ready to show next.
