![](./images/menu2/treessummer.jpg) 10:07:06 Eps Sunny has a super shiny boy too that was up 4 today but nobody with frame matches 😭 |
10:06:53 Dorothy/Breezy puck thanks! I'll try that out. |
10:06:27 Eps D med and pray it catches everything LOL |
10:05:43 puck Services > trail ride. It can give your horse training advantages! |
10:04:36 Dorothy/Breezy puck
Okay, thanks. Didn't know there was a difference! How are they different? I'm not sure I've trail ridden before. |
10:04:34 Red I'm obsessed with my new black appy art piece on my stable page I'm debating having it made to a stable set The inspiration is my mare in RL and shes pregnant too |
10:02:38 puck Exploring is different from trail rides :)
I think starter horses do that now?? I remember somebody else having a similar question |
09:55:54 Dorothy/Breezy Al,
No, I have only gone on one trail ride (used 4-6 turns just to get bravery) with him once and that was after his first session of training. |
09:55:36 Sun/Sunny The splash boy? Yes I hope so haha. But I also hope my boy on Kingsman is good because I need a new stud over there |
09:53:00 Ceci / (Call me) AL Breezy, did you use him for trailrides? |
09:52:31 Ceci / (Call me) AL Sunny, I am so curious about your boy... I hope he is decent |
09:52:13 Eyrie Starters start with all 2s. Wilds can lose bars after training if they're on the weaker side, so Id guess that's what happened with the stallion. Otherwise there may be a bug in play. |
09:51:23 Sun/Sunny My splash boy is a week behind, no week 7 for him lol |
09:51:01 Ceci / (Call me) AL Sunny says yes, good good :) |
09:49:57 Dorothy/Breezy Isn't the earliest for a horse to go up in training 3-4 weeks in? My starter stallion and mare both started with all 1s in their training bars and both went up with the first training session. The stallion started training in jumping, so he's currently 112221 while the mare is all 2s now. Is this a glitch? Or do starters begin and go up immediately?

All of it lol, i cant seem to figure out how each gene combines with the other.. Genetics were my hardst time in science

Okay. I haven't played it yet today, so I'll see if I can write out how I do it with my combo as an example.

The first thing I do is copy and paste the parent's genetics into a doc so that I don't have to worry about the page timing out, and I can highlight and number things to keep track of stuff. Also, the first time I set up the doc, I wrote out a string with all the recessive variations and copied and pasted it 100 times, so each time I do the game, I can just copy/paste change the parts I need to and revert that back once I'm finished. I look at each gene, find the ones that differ, and do a punnet square for each of those. I've gotten to the point where I can do those in my head, so then I highlight the genes to help me remember how many outcomes they each had. You don't have to do that, but it could be helpful for the next steps. I highlight genes with a difference but only one outcome red, those with two outcomes yellow, and those with three outcomes green. Agouti can sometimes have four separate outcomes, and then I highlight it pink.

The next thing I do is multiply the individual outcomes together and make sure I get the same number as the number of possibilities that the game said I had, to make sure I didn't make a mistake. 2^8 = 256, so I'm good here. Then I find and replace genes in my default strings where the recessive version is not an outcome (Agouti and PATN-2 here). Then I start pasting changes string by string to the genes with more than one outcome. I divide the total number of possibilities (and then my answer continuing on down to 1) by the number of outcomes for each gene to know how often to vary those outcomes in my strings. 256/2 = 128, so my 100 answers could have ee for Extension, and I wouldn't have to make any changes. 128/2 = 64, so my first 64 strings can be CC, but then I have to change the rest to CcrC. 64/2 = 32, so I alternate dd and Dd every 32 strings. 32/2 = 16, so I alternate zz and Zz every 16 strings. 16/2 = 8, so I alternate sbsb and Sbsb every 8 strings. 8/2 = 4, so I alternate oo and Oo every 4 strings. 4/2 = 2, so I alternate patn-1patn-1 and PATN-1patn-1 every 2 strings. Then 2/2 = 1, so I alternate PATN-2PATN-2 and PATN-2patn-2 every other string, and then I have my answers. I paste them into the game, hit submit, and hope I didn't make any mistakes. Hope this helps and let me know if you're confused by any of this! Edited at May 29, 2024 11:38 PM by Eyrie of the Stars

What I like to do is go gene by gene. I hope I can make my method make sense. I’ll use today’s horses as my example. Today’s Sire: ee,AtAt,CC,rnrn,Dd,PrlPrl,zz,chch,gg,ww,toto,splspl,sbsb,rbrb,oo,lplp,patn-1patn-1,patn-2patn-2 Today’s Dam: Ee,AA,CC,Rnrn,Dd,PrlPrl,zz,chch,gg,ww,Toto,splspl,sbsb,Rbrb,oo,LpLp,PATN-1PATN-1,patn-2patn-2 1.) For each gene, we take one from each parent. Starting with Extension (E or e), the combinations we can get for this sire and dam are “Ee” and “ee”. Our starting lines are going to be: Ee ee 2.) Next we have agouti and cream, which both only have one possible combination from these parents - “AtA” and “CC”. We add those to the two starting lines, and now we have: Ee,Ata,CC ee,Ata,CC 3.) For roan, we’re back to two possible combinations - “rnrn” and “Rnrn”. What we’re going to do now is copy/paste the two starting lines, so both possibilities are accounted for in both ways: Ee,Ata,CC,rnrn ee,Ata,CC,rnrn ((Showing separation)) Ee,Ata,CC,Rnrn ee,Ata,CC,Rnrn 4.) For dun, we now have three possible combinations - “dd”, “Dd”, and “DD”. Just like before, we’re going to copy/paste, but now we’re going to have three total copies: Ee,Ata,CC,rnrn,dd ee,Ata,CC,rnrn,dd Ee,Ata,CC,Rnrn,dd ee,Ata,CC,Rnrn,dd ((Showing separation)) Ee,Ata,CC,rnrn,Dd ee,Ata,CC,rnrn,Dd Ee,Ata,CC,Rnrn,Dd ee,Ata,CC,Rnrn,Dd ((Showing separation)) Ee,Ata,CC,rnrn,DD ee,Ata,CC,rnrn,DD Ee,Ata,CC,Rnrn,DD ee,Ata,CC,Rnrn,DD 5.) Pearl (PrlPrl), silver (zz), champagne (chch), grey (gg), and white (ww) all only have only possible combination. That means we can add them all to the end of the framework we have now: Ee,Ata,CC,rnrn,dd,PrlPrl,zz,chch,gg,ww, ee,Ata,CC,rnrn,dd,PrlPrl,zz,chch,gg,ww, Ee,Ata,CC,Rnrn,dd,PrlPrl,zz,chch,gg,ww, ee,Ata,CC,Rnrn,dd,PrlPrl,zz,chch,gg,ww, Ee,Ata,CC,rnrn,Dd,PrlPrl,zz,chch,gg,ww, ee,Ata,CC,rnrn,Dd,PrlPrl,zz,chch,gg,ww, Ee,Ata,CC,Rnrn,Dd,PrlPrl,zz,chch,gg,ww, ee,Ata,CC,Rnrn,Dd,PrlPrl,zz,chch,gg,ww, Ee,Ata,CC,rnrn,DD,PrlPrl,zz,chch,gg,ww, ee,Ata,CC,rnrn,DD,PrlPrl,zz,chch,gg,ww, Ee,Ata,CC,Rnrn,DD,PrlPrl,zz,chch,gg,ww, ee,Ata,CC,Rnrn,DD,PrlPrl,zz,chch,gg,ww, *** With that, all the possible variations of adding to the framework have been covered. Each gene can have from 1-3 combinations, which you add to the end of possibilities you’ve calculated so far. If you continue the chronological pattern of copying/pasting the growing framework to account for different combinations per gene, you’ll end up with a complete list of all possibilities! Hello, a few days ago, I found the game section - and the Genetic Practice Game. And I don't understand it ... on't get me wrong, I understand the genetics, just not how the game works. How do I split every entry? With an Enter? Or a Space? oday, out of four entries, one was correct, the other three were declared incorrect - and I don't understand why. Thank you :)
