What are the biggest differences between AD and SD geldings that would make someone prefer AD? I only really have SD :') newish stable still

I personally prefer AD as I can show them in anything. If one area isnt ready just yet, usually another is. And if they level up in one area, you can usually show them in another until they level up in all 3 disciplines. :) Its simply all preference really, but I find it maximizes the money I get from each horse when showing as I rotate.

And this is the day I learnt that "skip fed horses" meant skip federation horses not horses that have been fed. I've been doing it manually for 60+ riders this whole time oh my goodness 🙈
This is a great guide, thank you!

Oh my God me too😭

Well done Foggy! Thank you so much for this! There have obviously been great guides out there for us to learn from (thank you Eury and others)... but this is the first time it has kind of gelled for me. It is simple straight forward.. and easy to follow.. thank you for doing this!
Now will you explain showing Feds or Futs?

Thank you! :D
As for Feds and Futs I dont know too much. Just the basics. Eury is probably the first person that comes to mind to explain Federations really well. And Mallery Show Stables. :)

Is there any reason to not keep them focused on just one discipline or is that just a personal preference?

Wow!! This is an amazing guide, I've only just fully understood showing after reading this guide...I now know what people mean by 'leave them until next week'!
Maybe I'll get my very neglected geldings out again...

I personally like AD over SD as I have seen more profit in AD. If they are not ready in one discipline, they could be ready in another. :)
