And saying your LGD has never gotten ripped ears makes me think that is false. I have seen so many ear rips due to people not cropping. Then the dog has to rest and go to the vet due to injury.

I know people who havent fixed their dogs and said they would never get pregnant, but guess what? It only takes one second and they did get pregnant.

I have also had to make the euthanasia call on so many animals volunteering / working at animal shelters for complications due to being unaltered.
You do you, but I am never not advocating for people to not fix their animals. Most people are not responsible.

Not in all dogs lol. People use google and expect it to be correct. I see and meet so many dogs that are not spayed/neutered living their best life.

Also dogs that are left with floppy ears are less likely to have ear issues there's also pros to not cropping

@Sweet, finally someone on here says something I can agree with when it comes to neutering my dogs! I dont know why people are so opposed to it.

I have not only owned several unaltered animals- but I have honestly had more health issues than not. I was gonna wait till a year old with the Chiweenie but nah. He going in on the 23rd to remove his nuggets

Yotes and wolves can STILL ripp them off. Wolves grab their prey/rival and don't let go(usually).

Most people crop their dogs ears for pure look also it's scientifically proven that staying intact and not being bred increases the risk for cancer. Not to mention most people don't want their pets to randomly have puppies, or go knock up someone else's dog. Also it helps with temperament and can actually stop you male dog from running off for females just saying.

Oh myth, I discovered my SA where I shoved some lower rated WC & E braves into a pasture, and ended up with 4 WC foals

I have owned about 20 dogs in my life. NONE of them were s/n and they developed 0 cancers/health issues.

I've also had LGDs for years. Longer than you've been alive, I suspect, none of them were cropped and none of them had issues when tangling with the local coyotes

When I worked at the shelter we scanned the whole damn body for a chip and 99% of them had none.
Even with surrenders we checked because dog theft is a problem here.
We were always happy to return dogs to breeders as long as the person could confidently prove they bred the dog.
But without a chip or anything there would be times we would deny.

Suing a shelter?!?
Oh my. They have no money to begin with and are nonprofits.
The one I worked at did everything they could to reunite animals with owners or past owners. Because there is no space.

Lately there are so many people leaving animals at the gate during off hours. Come to work to find a box of puppies, or a box of kittens dumped over the fence.

People brought in animals as "strays" when clearly it was their pet because they didn't want to pay the surrender fee.
We had one that was so sick and dying from cancer, but we couldn't help her for three days because she was a "stray" and there's a hold in case the owner shows up. She suffered for three days because the owner couldn't do the right thing. And took the easy way out.

Hello! I looked at other horses that are similar to these already but the cost varies quite a bit. Any help is much appreciated!
