Bumping this as the question still stands about using 6 or more images for inspiration rather than direct 1:1 references (which I only do for art studies). I always thought of references along these lines as encouraged by professional artists: 1. Always use references or inspiration. 2. Referencing real life is best, photos if no other option. 3. Do studies & then do more studies. 4. Significantly alter works from references, studies, or inspiration to make it unique. Artistic license isn't just creative-- it's necessary to make an image your own. https://claralieu.wordpress.com/2013/08/22/ask-the-art-professor-when-and-how-you-should-use-photo-references-to-draw-2/ Abyssal Arabians said: I can see some problems with listing reference photos. I usually use upwards of 6 reference photos for any 1 image, drawing inspiration, poses, concepts for color/shading, textures, etc. If I have 20 reference photos for a single image, listing every one on the image is going to bury the image. Do you mean direct 1:1 referencing of a single photo/image for artwork requires tagging while inspiration (getting ideas, poses, etc. from various sources) does not? Here is an example of an artwork I did 3 years ago. I hand drew this digitally, referring to several images (some of which were in-game screenshots, some of which were photographs) for an official fan-art contenst of the in-game Pegasus. The concept is obviously fan-art, but the image is inspired by several photographs (none of which are 1:1 renderings), the result is when running a Google Image Search, it will only pull up instances of itself. How would I tag this?

So if I make adopts that are made from me. Would I just credit it as (c)(My stable) to let others know it is mine? Also, if we can't use Imgur to post pictures on is there an alternative website I can use to post my pictures on just to link them?
