You're so awesome Zomb. Daisy, I think your color changes are already great, I'm impressed lol. Random question on another note, do you find the apple pencil worth it? I use ibis paint with my bare finger and it's quite the adventure haha.

Thank you Madi <3 Zomb's tutorial really helped me! And yes, Apple Pencil are definitely worth it! Especially for drawing manes because of the pressure sensitivity. I wouldn't be able to do manips without one lol. Definitely recommend getting one! I used to use my fingers too lol my fingers were not happy 😅 Edited at July 6, 2023 11:13 AM by DaisyMeadowEventing

i also use ibis paint and the way i do markings is like this: go to the base horse layer you have (or just the horse layer if you only have one) use lasso tool to draw your markings make sure you overoutline the edges(around the muzzle/legs) to make sure you got all the pixels in the selection duplicate the layer while your lasso is still on bring the layer to the top i go to brightness/contrast and put brightness all the way contrast down all the way go to hue/saturation/lightness saturation all the way down lightness all the way up turn the layer into soft light mess with settings if the layer looks too "foggy" duplicate the layer change it to overlay and play with both of them until you get the affect you want duplicate the layer again and change the layer to color layer and lower the opacity until it looks right for pink muzzles i duplicate the layer turn it red and erase what i dont want pink turn it to color and lower the opacity until it looks how i want. for more orange/pink tones just change the color with mono color edit forgot to add this when i first change the layer to soft light i go in with the airbrush with smudge tool 3.5px 45% opacity and smudge individual hairs around the lines of the markings to make it more natural Edited at July 6, 2023 11:40 AM by Wings Of Glory
