I am not really asking for tier help since I don't feel confident enough to open a shop yet. I am just wanting to know a good price to start auctions at. I would also love dome critique on my art, I'm not very good but I am trying anyway lol
Most recent examples(I am aware I forgot to give the horse in the apple tree piece a shadow xD):

Have you done some auctions? What people pay in there can heavily indicate what you should price your art at, at first <3

I have done 3 auctions. One went for 20k, one went for 25k and one went for 50k. So should I do a 20k SB and a 50k AB for most auctions?

Hey! I'm not the best person for pricing, but I think I can still prove useful^^ (and Versailles posted while I was typing this mess xD)

In the second example, the horse looks oddly saturated, like the highlights are too bright to be moonlit. Another thing is the mane, I think most people would generally agree the lenth of the mane should follow the curve of the neck, I'm not sure how to explain this so here's a mock up example.

instead of the ends mane following a vertical line, it follows the shape of the neck. Sometimes the mane at the middle of the neck is longer than that at the withers and poll, so keep that in mind<3

Now, I'm not the best a drawing manes(as seen by my most recent piece) digitally, but I am on paper lol. I think the overall flow of the manes(especially the first pic) looks great, the most room for improvement is on the coloring overall but hey, we're all trying our best<3 You'll get better quicker than you realize ;D
-
In terms of price, I'd say between 20k-60k depending on the peice and the coloring. Best way to find out is to put a peice up for auction with the SB about 50k and wait a few days, if nobody bids lower it a little bit. Keep doing that until someone bids on it :) They seem to blend pretty well with ther backgrounds so that's something to consider as well, as it does add to the quality of the piece.

Definitely get the opinion of someone more experienced with art prices than me though ^^; I can't wait to see you progress and get better<3

Improvements will come as you continue to practice. Yes, I'd say keep using auction prices. :) But price AB above where the highest previous bids have been! People will push it higher through time as you practice varying things, like manes and tails, shadows, etc.

I will definitely keep that mane thing in mind while I am working on my next pieces! As far as that second piece goes, I royally messed up the lighting and couldn't fix it so it came out wonky xD
Oh well, you live and you learn!

haha it definitely happens more than we'd all like to admit xD

I'm glad you found my advice for the shape of the mane useful! It really helped me a lot when I started out on paper, though I still struggle with tails in motion x'D I can't help but keep going back to the first pic, the mane is just fantastic<3 A little more definition in the hairs and it's perfect :D
