I'm new to the game and saw some people doing art and thought I'd give it a shot! Critique 'til your heart's content :) Edit: I'm also wondering approx. how much it's worth Edit: Here's another piece! I'm looking for more pricing opinions. I may open a premade shop but am unsure of where to put my prices at. Hopefully this gives a better idea. Edited at December 9, 2021 08:29 PM by Green Acres

That is very good! The lighting on the horse's back looks nice, but I would probably add a few more highlights around in the horse's tail because the piece is backlit. Also, the horse's coat looks a touch too shiny, as though there's a light source on the left side of it. It doesn't really affect the piece too much, but I would make the highlights on the horse just a lil darker. Overall, this is absolutely beautiful!

Huge thanks! I'll take those points into account for me next piece :)

This is genuinely beyond awesome as a beginner piece! It looks incredibly natural. I agree that the highlights are a little too strong on the side of the horse facing the viewer but this is me nitpicking in all honesty. Other than that, the horse should have a shadow from the light source. That's about all I have for you, keep up the amazing work!!

you could elevate this by adding a loose mane rather than braids to fit the natural/free theme :) Overall, the horse and background stock work so well together and are very well cut out and placed. I also love what you did with the text and fade. in the future, you could focus on using higher quality/larger images to elevate the image quality/get rid of pixelation :)

Thanks for your input! I'm not sure if you're referring to the coat color itself or the lighting. If it's the coat color, I intentionally kept the horse it's original color for this piece. I'll be sure to make a piece with a horse of that color later on through!
