Versa, hopefully it'll live up to expectations <3 this is the first time in years I'm actually home for my city's, so we'll see how long it tortures me lol

DD,
Mortars are legal back in Tennessee so I'm sure my street is noisy too. But people are claiming this to be the biggest firework show in history so, I'm excited.

Versa, have fun! I can only imagine how awful the traffic is, I just heard the fireworks show start down here since unfortunately it's at the park near my very in-the-city house lol

Record highs today in certain parts of the US. It has been horrible

DD,
I guess we'll see. I'm currently perched with an excellent view of the memorial, waiting for the firework show. Getting absolutely poured on. We'll see how traffic is after

Bleh. Yeah, though, I can't wait to get back to my air conditioned hotel hidey hole. I feel the hiding part. LOL

I came home from a long night of work in Florida, fell into bed in my south-facing bedroom because I had been up almost 26 hours, woke up in trouble. My air conditioner had quit while I was comatose and I couldn't even stand up out of the bed. Took 2 liters of IV fluid to get my temp down from 104. Of course, I was born well before Armstrong landed on the moon, so...

Yeah, I gotta watch myself because I have bad heat tolerance and I'm on meds that make me more sensitive to the heat.

My uncle died at 21 running a marathon in NYC in over one hundred degree heat. He pushed himself too hard and ended up with heat stroke and full kidney failure before he passed away. Always hydrate and be careful of the heat

DD,
Dehydration is a huge reason for heat ailments. Combined with ignoring your body saying "hey, please stop" is when people faint

DD,
I'm pretty heat resistant, I've never had troubles. But having grown up in Colorado, I know to properly hydrate and sit if I feel even a little off. I see too many people here pushing themselves a little too hard and then facing consequences

the thunder was pretty loud so the cats were hiding. Storm finally calmed down, so they're getting tasty cat food

Hi! I am currently a tier 3 artist with prices ranging from 30-50k. I have been thinking about moving to tier 2, do you guys think this is suitable?
This is my shop

I'd say stay in tier 3 for now, as you're new to HEE, and your hair could use a little work before moving up to tier 3. (I in no way mean this to be offensive, just some advice^^)

I personally would say move to tier two, your hair work is better than what I see in most tier three including my own shop! Love the attention to detail! Keep up the great work! :)

I say stay in tier 3 as well. While your patterns and colors are nice, I find that you definitely could improve with hair, grounding, and making the horse look apart of the image before moving up.

The hair could use much more dimension in my opinion. The strands are all bunched together in one motion if that makes sense, strands lack size variety, and it just looks flat due to lack of proper highlights/shadows. There are some fabulous hair tutorials in the art forum I recommend you take a look at :)

As for grounding and making the horse look apart of the image, for the first 2 pieces shown in your shop I would've liked to see better grounding of the hooves. For the second one it looks like you just covered the hooves with an airbrush. For that piece I feel you could've added some more details like dust particles to make it look like the horse is actually kicking up the sand. For the water one, I would've liked to see the horse's reflection in the water and the rippling by the legs seemed flat. I recommend not using a large airbrush for that like it appears you did. I'd also like to see the horses look apart of the art more. I like to do this by playing with hues, saturation, etc of the horse to match the background.

I don't mean any of this in a bad way, I just wanted to point out where I think you could do some improving and help a bit :)

Honestly I can't be of help in that area, as I suck at hair. I'd say try practicing on a blank piece by painting hair from scratch, using the tutorials listed in the art help section.
