The reflection in the water should probably be a bit more disorted and since it's night the horse could be a tad bit darker :) the text and idea of this image was exucuted very well with nice quaility, the horse doesn't look out of place, he/she blends nicely with the water. I'd recomend that you use a 0.09 ish hard brush on airbrush to outline some features it makes the horse jump out a bit. (Use black on white horses and white on darker color horses.) The background kinda bugs me a bit because it's not blurred a tad to make the main focus the horse so keep that in mind :) and the text doesn't look like the regular arial most newer artist use XD js. over-all it's a nice image, nice quaility. 7/10 Edited at April 3, 2017 05:54 AM by RobinWood Estates

I was about to say something about that XDD AnywaysI love the background you chose, It really compliments the horse's color. the water rushing at the horses feet really does look like the horse is standing in the water :) Now the text of the horses name can either make-or-break your image, so next time i'd suggest trying to use the website "Be funky" to edit the text, or download texts to your downloaded-program. (If you use Gimp 2.6 it'll crash and burn XD) Over all the image is really nice, 8/10

There is abunch of mishaps with this image, The horse doesn`t blend at all with the image, could use alot of work, when you're painting on markings, try using brightness-contrast or curves to make the white marking look more realistic, now for the indian markings i've never messed around with so I dont know how to help you with them. The feathers look like all you did was copy and paste them onto the image, next time try using color-balance or curves to make them look 'one with the horse' Now the halter and rope, I'd suggest just removing them with the stamping tool, it would make the image a lot nicer. aswell as rounding the horse and highlighting him/her this image needs a lot of work overall i'd give it 4/10 but thats okay, you're probably new to art :) We all have to start off somewhere. Just keep practicing :)

I have to differ surrounding the highlighting/contour. I would use medium grey and very, very light blue for white horses, and for other colours, use their opposite on the colour wheel to highlight. For bay and chestnut, use very pale blue or an amber/pale yellow for that. And other colours such as black, do pale yellow or white. Then for other colours, use whatever colours are the closest such as light blue for a buckskin. RobinWood Estates said:
