So, right off the bat I think the lighting needs to be stronger on the horse. On the edges, you could possibly paint a single line to highlight the edge of the horse and just make the lighting stronger in general.
-
The mane of the horse is confusing my eyes, sort of. Is it supposed to be a braid? Anyways, pretty, but I would thicken the overall mane to lay across the shoulder better.
-
The jewelry lighting almost looks inversed or something to me, it fits the overall lighting though and it your style, so I love it! I would just try to make the jewelry on the face stand out more against the white face.
-
Your markings are really realistic and tie in great with the horse and overall piece!
-
Overall, lovely job and I would love a piece from you someday! 😊

Critique on my latest piece?
Any long term changes I need to make for future pieces?

Hard critique, please? I'm trying to get better with each piece, particularly with the lighting.

out of everything, i'd say the hair needs the mos the long lighting wise, the ends are very light when they shouldn't be. when shading, treat the hair liek the body. Use add layers around the edges of the hair for lighting, ESPECIALLY with harsh down/back lighting, and make the ' middle ' of the hair darker compared to the edges.
Id also make the feet a bit darker, not by too much though. But make sure to leave a bit of unshaded area on the right hand side of the feet for this pice, since it is sort of back lighted.
something not lighting related, but try not to blend the horse out as much, your body prep is beautiful but i feel like you may have lost some details

this lighting on thsi is really good! it's one of the first things that i noticed, which is good because it's eye catching, i love it <3
as for critique, your hair is quite smoother out, rather than the layers and shades within the hair standing out. Hair in manip should look relatively shady if that makes sense? there are plenty of tutorials in the forums and on youtube as far as hair is concerned, but over all i'd say you ahve real potential to make some gorgeous pieces :)

1. Is this piece already spoken for? If not, can I buy it from you?
2. The body prep is beautiful, the horse looks a bit bright compared to the BG, but I do really like the glowy golden horse. Your hair as always is super pretty. The lighting on it looks a bit bright, there's not much highlights in the BG. Your markings are flawless.
