I've seen pieces that are just a cut out horse on a background go for over 100k, it's a little disheartening lmao

Im trying to figure out how to blend these two backrounds together any advice? (Ignore the person, it will be covered by the horse) Edited at January 11, 2023 05:26 PM by Da Smexy Sheep

The light from the meteor actually reflects nicely on the grass, although I personally would tone down the brightness a bit on the grass. I would also straighten the line between the grass & sky as there are noticeable bumps. Honestly, the very first thing I'd do would be to take the sky and duplicate it and flip it, blur it a little, and play around with the opacity and layer settings until it blends nicely with the grass. Keep in mind the horse will change how the shading works quite a bit, so plan for that.

I love it! The horse is grounded so well at the top, with the lighting, etc,the only thing I really have for you is that it doesn't look quite grounded at the bottom. The way you put the shadow is just a little off from where the light is coming from, which may be part of it. Overall so pretty!

Ok well first of all you need credits. Your horse is blurry and it's impossibly to make out any features. This could potentially be fixed by simply making the horse bigger. It's also cut out funky and a bit tricky to tell it's a horse. Before I can give you any more critique that's gotta be fixed. Not to mention the horse is far too dark for the lighting in the background. Either darken your background or add highlights to the horse. The mane is also chunky-If I were you I'd just redraw it. I advise you to check out some tutorials from the awesome artists here on HEE! And don't get discouraged, it's not going to be amazing your first try :)
