Yes agreed- invest in barns for decently useful studs and plenty of mares and it pays for itself in no time

Yep, I have a barn 'Quest boys' for most of my homo studs (but my RbRb is retired as of now ☚ī¸)

I skip any fut, member show, fed, or HEWG quests, and I also just don't have the patience for mini games. I also don't particularly go for maps, they're cool, but i'm too lazy to sort the captures lmao

If you do quest I really recommend having your own quest studs. It has made it so easy with the breeding ones.

Yesss love the breeding ones! Those, crafting, fetch and explore are my main bulk, then I'll do the paddle one if it pops up when I'm on PC and I try to keep any brindles back that might be premium for that quest. Capture quests depend- I'll always do the 50 and I try and do the 25 with free passes if I build up enough. Then keep the wilds aside to rate them as and when they're useful
Santana Rising

The breeding quests go rather fast (unless it's brindle) and right now I have 2 showing quests - one is more than half finished) and I also like the explore ones and some of the mini games I do anyway. The palomino P has been sitting in my log for a while. But it gives 8 +20 maps and I am not skipping that

I knock out quests on each account till I get to ones I either don't want to do or can't do and call it that for the day XD

I do a lot of the showing and breeding quests - hence the 300 quest specific horses I have >.>

Do you know of any good hair tutorials?

Until you have your hair hand-drawn, lighting sorted out, and layer merging down, i'd stay there :)

Definitely check out pola's hair tutorial! It's in their art shop or you can find it on DA I believe (with a lot more other tutorials)..
and I agree with T3! Definitely a great starting point. The thing that sticks out to me the most is the lack of lighting and shadowing on the horse, it's a very simple step however it brings the whole piece together!

It is still a big WIP but i thought i would try hand-drawn hair i am still new at doing it but any tips would be very helpful!
I thought i would try and get it down on procreate before i try on photoshop but i do plan on trying to get a drawing pad to hook up to my laptop for photoshop:)

I understand the pain with the hair, i am new to it as well. As for hues, try to match the temperature to the background, it will help the horse melt into the background.
Here is the grey i did for example (now owned by someone else).

That is really nice! i plan on importing my piece to photoshop to do a tad bit more editing to the piece to hopefully make it blend with the background more

The program I'm using right now is not all that advanced, so there are not a whole lot of options, in terms of blending. I'm thinking of switching to procreate XD
