My friend tried to persuade me to read Twilight when the hype started and I was so glad I resisted. I read 'Discovery of Witches' instead and it's such a more mature and compelling vampire story. I'd definitely recommend gimp to anyone starting out on a laptop - it is completely free and has many of a features that PS has without the cost. However, I will say it can be daunting to figure out so feel free to PM me if you need help Kat (or anyone!).

As previously said it is more for image manipulation than straight drawing, but it is fantastic if that's what you want to focus on.
