It's gorgeous! But that one back hoof touching the grass seems odd to me. It needs something to make it look like it is really in the grass instead of chopped off lol. And the shadow underneath seems to dark, I'd lighten the opacity and maybe erase little strands to show more pokes of green to show that the grass is still there
Agreed. Toy with the lighting against the horse as well. Farther away from the sun, the horse should be a bit darker, while spaces closer to it (in this case, the edges) should be lighter since they are directly hit by the sun's light.

Try adding some shadows and highlights especially on the leg mentioned above, I'd erase some of the hoof with small strands instead of fully erasing it, I'd also add more shadows to it looks like it's actually in the grass The light is coming from 'behind' the horse so most of the horse would be covered by a shadow and the lighting would be more strong, try adding some light around the rim where the light hits Overall this peice is freaking incredible and you should be so proud of it! Feel free to give some tips. I know that the hair isn't perfect, but I really like it so far. I feel like I've improved a ton <3

Still not done, but if I get critique now I can work it into my piece. I really need critique on this to try to make it the best it can be! Edited at February 8, 2020 05:14 PM by Sagebrush

Very well done! The tail could use some individual strands and the hooves look like they're just fading into the water rather than being an obstacle for it to move around, but well done!

I'm quite proud of this, and I'm really liking my hair technique, but I wanna know if there's more I can do to get better. This image doesn't have credits because this is the finished piece before resizing and adding credits. (Finished piece with credits isn't as clear, but I'll post it as well so ya'll know they're there.)

You could add an outline on the horse where the sun touches most, helps with the glow

This is really good. Few tips: ~ Don't smudge or blur the mane or tail. Start with a bigger brush and draw out the shape of it. Then add highlights with a lot smaller brush, add some stray hairs aswell. If I can I'll find the link to Sunsets hair tutorial ~ Remember to put down a shadow as this helps the horse to fit the background. ~ Add a few little highlights to the horse round the face and body
