I need critique on everything except the fact that the mane and tail are missing because I am waiting on a new tablet in the mail before I do it.

I love this so far! The color matches the background almost perfectly! The only thing I'd fix is I'd make the shadow a little darker so it doesn't look like the horse is floating. I can't wait to see the finished piece!

Alrighty, I think I did alright with the lighting. What do you guys think? Am I the only one who thinks it's missing something?

I don't think the highlights are quite strong enough, Breezie. Also, the shadow of the horse angle doesn't match up with the light source.

What do you mean by highlights? On the horse itself or the glow from the sun?

only thing that sticks out to me is the eye seems a little big and the back hooves almost seem to disappear?

also might I suggest adding a thin outline on the horse? Just to bring it out a bit more. Great job!
