Hi Kiralee!

Personally, I would cut out the horse a bit neater. There seems to be a few sharp edges on the back and belly. This can be fixed by taking your time while cutting out the horse and smoothing out any rough edges with the eraser tool. Also in the areas where you are having a yellow/orange lighting on the horse (feathers on legs, mane and tail), I would give a purple hue to make it seem like the horse is actually in the background. Also where the legs meet the grass, taking a smudging tool on a low power and smudging the bottoms of the legs would make it look like they naturally transition into the grass. Also on the mane and tail, I would take a purplish black color and redraw the mane and tail. It looks as though you only cut out the mane and tail and didn't redraw any of it.
That being said, I really like how you gave the body of the horse a purple hue! And I also really like how the photo and horse are lighted.
However, if your light is coming from behind the horse, the horse should have a shadow underneath and in front of it.

For now, I would stick with your pricing. As you improve, you should certainly raise your prices!

I hope this helps!

Hi again Kirralee!

The mane and tail on your newer piece is very good! If you are able too, on the edges of your mane I would take a blur tool or a smudge tool on a low power and go over the edges a bit. It would help make your mane and tail flow nicely.
Your horse looks a bit small compared to the background. Choosing a background that has a wider area will help your horse fit in well.
I'm unsure if you added the white markings but it looks like you did. I would go over them with a smudge tool to make it look like it is actually part of the coat rather than sitting on top.
Also, the horse's front hoof seems a bit squished. If it had to be cut that way from the stock, I would recommend either redrawing the hoof or taking parts of the other hooves to blend together to form a new one. Also, I would recommend taking a smudge tool and going over the very bottoms of the hooves so they look as though they are truly on the ground.
The last thing I would like to point out is the flower in the mane. The flower is very sharp while the horse is blurred. To fix this, you could either blur the flower or sharpen the horse.

Other than that, I can tell a huge improvement between the previous one and your most recent one!
