Horses will stay in the rainbow bridge unless they are rounded up for the auction. They have to have two Elite ratings to be eligible for the auciton.

Perhaps the person that bought them, decided to FR them, but checked the box to not have them be eligible to go to auction. In which case, they are sent to the bridge.

free range is where they go when you set them free - rainbow bridge is where they go when they die

Free range is when you set a horse free, they have a change to be rounded up in adam's auction and bought by another stable. The rainbow bridge is for horses that pass away
