Tranquility said: Okay, so here's my take on this... and this may belong more in the suggestions group but, imma say it here too. . I think we take away the current "art auction grouped threads" that we have now. Add the other art tier to make 4 tiers. So the overall forum page would look like this . Then... have like, individual auction pages for each tier AND an auction page for palettes and adoptable but within the each "adoptable page" for example: tier 1 page would look like this when you click on tier 1, with the option to click on auctions within tier 1. So . OR you could split up the current art auction page into tiers/palettes/adoptables. . Either way, I think your art shop (to determine with auction tier to put your piece in) would determine the tier, so if you have a tier 2 shop, put your auction piece in tier 2. OR by SB/AB bids. I'm not sure what would be better to judge by but of course a mod could always move the piece if they had to. . The art auction forum wouldn't be so cluttered. You could search by tiers/palettes/adopts. . Obviously this doesnt solve the bumping issue, which definitely needs more clarification. I give a time reminder every couple days and just let my forum move back through the pages right now. But a button might be nice as long as it has some day limit lol.
I love it! Auction tiers would definitely help organise things, but it may cause an issue- either you have to go through tier1/2/3/4 are shops to get to their respective auction location, or it adds a whole bunch of links where tiers and auctions currently are on the main forum page. If you have to go through the art shops, it may get confusing for new players. Maybe add a new board/section for art auctions, having all the tiers and an auction section. I'll edit in a few hours with a screenshot of what I mean, gotta go :3

My take as an artist & art buyer.. this is a ridiculous stand to make. Do some people use end date reminders & such to bump? Sure. But also, if the post isn't being 'bumped' constantly.. so?? High volume of auctions means posts get pushed back. The auction thread isn't Sales Chat where uninterested people get spammed; people looking through the art auctions are choosing to do because they, low and behold, want art. How the hell are you going to police people, exactly, for not using perfect timing to remind of end dates? To thank people for bids or compliments? To answer questions on custom or YHH's?
Unless someone is writing 'bump' or otherwise advancing their post on a daily basis.. this is just not a big deal. Edited at February 10, 2024 04:58 PM by After Dark RID

I really dont understand why they are ignoring this thread. A mod made it, there should be answers... ACloudToStandOn said: It's been a few days are we not going to get more clarification?

Could not agree more! Would they also like people to not comment on auctions they arent bidding on? This whole thing is ridiculous... Very. I think it'd be plain rude to not thank people for compliments, just like irl. You're not going to give someone the silent treatment after they just said they love your outfit. I don't think there's been an issue with bumping other than a handful of new players not knowing better.
