05:43:52 Amber Star It was a sloped back class |
05:43:34 Buckeye, we have gotten lucky with ours because they're somewhat of 'broken huskies' but they do have each other to keep entertained. However, having two easily has regretable moments lol |
05:43:16 Amber The guy down the road from me has a goldendoodle, I have a labradoodle. My lad is trained with what I need him to know (I work with horses) The goldendoodle is not trained, basically neglected unless he walks himself to my house I taught him sit, paw, lie down etc. and he picked them up super quick. He hasn't been around for a while though :/ |
05:42:53 star dont get me started on doodles period- love the ones people get from shelters, people who buy their mix from a breeder are special. |
05:42:38 Buckeye! Thunda, oh my that is a challenge. Last year I had a pup go to the Czech Republic. His owner asked me to begin some of the basic commands in Czech, which I did to the best of my ability. But I also sent her audio files of the commands in English so she could learn those to help him transition. Ultimately it is on the new owner to be able to use what the breeder uses and then transition the dog to new cues/language! |
05:42:15 star Amber most of the time, the dogs dont have sloped backs, they're just stacked to look that way |
05:41:30 Thunda/Cat/Mom Amber, you're lucky! And it's not all doodles, I know...
But so far, the ones I have trained, I am not a fan of them |
05:41:29 Puck that is so true That's how you end up with holes in your backyard, and the house being torn apart lol
When we first got ours, they were rescues so confined to the basement because we needed to buy crates.... Left them for like 2 hours and our boy surgically dissected our futon XD About a one foot wide diameter oerfect circle right in the middle |
05:40:54 Look what I got! EWE AA with color :D -HEE Click- |
05:40:36 Amber I mean I have a doodle and he's been *thankfully* super easy to train |
05:39:41 Thunda/Cat/Mom Don't get me started on training doodles 😤 |
05:39:14 Grape the Haphazard 05:39:11 Star / Sarah I shoulld be sleeping, it is 1:34 am in here, and I have two examples tomorrow but I can't stop thinking of them... -Click- -Click- -Click- going to miss you so much 😭 iit has been six hours and I already miss them a lot... |
05:39:03 Buckeye! Reeds, thanks for adding in that Huskies are not easy dogs!
Having done horses and dogs all my life professionally, the breeds most recently seen by me as problems have been Huskies, Mals, and the Doodles. Now, it is NOT the breed or the dogÂ’s fault. It is 100% on the humans that are too sorry to get off their couches and actually train and work with these dogs they buy cause they are the popular things to have, so we gotta be as cool as the neighbors. *eye roll* |
05:38:18 Crowley | Myth Buckeye Can I PM you a question? |
05:36:27 Amber Also I had the fact that the new standard for German shepherds is the sloped back They looked awful |
05:36:20 Thunda/Cat/Mom Yep. We did get him straightened out. It was for puppy head start. But when the owners came to get him, they didn't speak English (I know very little Spanish) and didn't give me time to actually show them how to handle him.
1 day goes by and they call asking questions about why isn't he listening 🤦♀️
I was notified waaaay late that he needed to be trained with Spanish commands rather than English. Like... 1 week before pick up late. |
