boredum washed over Dixie. she scanned the field before noticing a horse rolling around. she walked towards her and let her ears flick forward. "hello" she said. no one knew her name, since she was shy and didn't really talk to the horses much. she was scared because of her previous encounters with herds.

Phantom stayed out of the valley for about an hour before deciding it was time to go in, even then she had to force herself back in the valley. She loved the quietness but didn't want the herd to find her missing. She would take her time going back to where she was before leaving taking in all the cold breeze. Phantom didn't really care if someone saw her walking in she was just happy she got her quiet time

(Wow... I was gone for 1 DAY and I missed 23 posts... Lol. You guys are good. Sorry I didn't respond sooner, hope this answers all your questions.) - West frowned slightly, looking a little uncomfortable. He backed up a couple of feet then cleared his throat. "to answer all your wound questions, a cougar invaded." He glanced at the mare that.. he hadn't talked to before. She had seemed to be avoiding him.. anyway, he had answered her question too. "Thank you Moon, and I do know why the water was dirty. I was going upstream to fix it when the cougar attacked." He said quietly. He flicked his ears as he heard the mare... Dixie, mutter something. -Oh... great, she's muttering about me- he thought with a slight grimace, turning back to the other horses. I will clean up the scratches... but they will be fine. I've had this happen before." He had turned his gaze to the mare that he hadn't talked to before. West then glanced at Aurora and Moon, smiling slightly before taking a breath. By now he was kind of... quivering. He didn't really like all the horses crowding him... but as the leader, he should attest to their problems and answer their questions. After he had answered everyone's questions.... he kind of avoided everyone's gaze and slowly started backing up, then turning and trotting away towards the upper end of The River. He would fix that problem... and Be alone for a Little while. West sighed, his ears flopping back as quiet settled down on them. At this point... silence was very loud. He looked up and saw he had reached his destination. Some beavers had built a dam right here... but not very well. Water was leaking over and taking little chunks of mud with it, which dirtied up the water. He could tell it was abandoned from the state it was in. West took a breath and smashed his shoulder against the dam. Pain flared in some of his wounds... but there was much water behind the dam. He would just break it, a little water would flow through, and the water would be clean. He smashed it again and again until he heard a creak ... then jumped out of the way as the dam broke. Nice, clean water came spilling out and gently tumbled down the creek. West smiled, happy that problem was fixed. He stood in the shade of a tree, twitching his wet pelt and closing his eyes, resting. Edited at April 16, 2023 06:12 PM by Wild Warmbloods

Phantom would finally reach her spot, she'd see West walking back a bit wet which was odd but she didn't think about it much then turned her attention to the rest of the herd. Phantom observed the foals first making sure they we're fine then turned her gaze on all the other mares. She knew it wasn't her job to watch the herd but still she wanted to help out it was the least she could do since West let her join the herd.

Aurora walked up to the stream seeing it was all clear now he'd look over at West whinning a thank you then took a drink from it. After getting a drink he'd trot up to one of the tallest hills in the valley looking out not at the herd but out of the valley trying to spot more deer

Dixie's ears went from side to side as she listened to the birds. she swished a fly away with her tail and stomped her left hind leg at yet another fly. a horsefly landed on her flank and she nipped at it. it wouldn't go away. it bit her and she jumped, kicking her back legs behind her. she galloped to her tree, lifting her legs higher than necessary in order to rid herself of the large, painful fly. it still didn't budge until she slowed to a walk and purposely fell and rolled, thrashing her legs. she stood and shook the dirt off. "phew" she shook her head and neck, letting her long mane slap against her neck

Phantom legs felt stiff and tired so she decided that they needed to be stretched. She'd start with a fast walk then go through the different gates finally reaching a gallop. Phantom didn't want to go her full speed since it was just a light run it also allowed her to think. She'd think about her old herd...oh how she hated the leads that kicked her out, her ears pinned slightly at the idea. She'd remember all the horrible days and nigths she spent by herself but also remembered the good things she got out of it. One of those good things was meeting West who helped scare off a pack of wolves chasing her, then shortly after let me join his herd. She'd glance around at the herd... she loved this herd defidentaly a lot more than her old one. Phantom swished her tail wildly picking her gallop a little hitting 40mph. She galloped along the valley's edge thinking about other things Edited at April 16, 2023 08:40 PM by The Ghost Barn

West started walking, coming back to the valley. He nodded at Aurora, then walked to a sunnyish spot. He was shivering.. which was not normal, but then again he had just got attacked by a cougar. West glanced at all the mares, making sure they were okay. He turned his attention quickly to a mare who was bucking and running... then rolling. He was slightly worried, but then realized it was just an annoying fly... and she seemed fine. He then turned his gaze to Phantom, who was... going through her paces, it seemed. "No Wonder she Is faster than me." He murmured with an amused snort. He took a deep breath. The stallion laid down in the sunlit patch with a sigh, relaxing and letting the heat warm him up. He was cold... very cold. This was helping.

Phantom looked around while still galloping to make sure no one was paying attention, she noticed West looking at her for a second then laying dow. She'd let out a relaxed huff no one watching her meant she could possibly sneak out the valley. Phantom made her would soften her galloping trying to make her hooves steps light soit wasn't obvious she left. She'd gallop all the way to the spot she was before finally slowing down to a walk. She'd huff a bit out of breathe but didn't mind it the cold air made that run feel great
