West saw Aurora, feeling happy at least the colt was okay. He scanned the grounds for Moon.... knowing she probably got herself into trouble somewhere

Aurora walk up to the lake then back up a bit taking off jumping into the water. Even if it was cold he enjoyed swimming in the lake, he also liked splashing any of the horses that were near by. No one was close except for West but even then he was still too far to splash

West glanced at Aurora, a mischievous smile in his face. He walked up, then splashed a tidal wave age of water over Aurora's head. "Got you." He murmured, a smile plain on his handsome face. He chuckled

Aurora didn't notice West walk up but was surprised by the wave of cold water rushing over his head, He'd let out a surprised whinnie then turned to look at West laughing "Hey no fair I wasn't looking!" He'd make a huge splash at him but to West it probably seemed little.

"Well I'm sure many horses you splashed weren't looking." West snorted, flicking his tail at the small amount of water that sprayed him. "So... is too fair." He grinned, shaking his mane

Phantom snorted "Yeah well.... You..." He tried thinking of a comback but couldn't so he playfully headbutted West on his shoulder. Then pranced in circles flicking his tail. He'd stop then looked up at the stallion suddeny asking "Why aren't you fast? I thought stallions were supposed to be faster than mares" He asked this cause he saw Phantom leave him in the dust the first time they raced Edited at April 17, 2023 01:23 PM by The Ghost Barn

West laughed at his attempts, nudging the colt away. West was caught a little off guard at Aurora's question. "A couple reasons..." he said slowly. "And it doesn't matter whether you are a mare or a stallion. Both can be faster than one another... I just happen to be on the slow side." He explained, trying to.. avoid the question. He pricked his ears. "Oh uh Aurora I'm sorry I have to go, I heard something. See you later." He said quickly, trotting off towards the top of the valley

Aurora snorted at his answer "Well then I'll be the fastest horse there is" His face was filled with pride as he lifted his head high, he'd turn watching him walk away "Oh okay.. See ya" He was a bit sad West had to leave but found something else to do within a few seconds to fill his bordem

West broke into a canter, going up to the top of the hill and turning right. He went on a narrow, rocky trail until he got up to the top of the mountain... and sighed. "I knew that question would come up some day... I just hope Aurora doesn't tell anyone else... or no one else heard..." he murmured, his eyebrows creasing. There WERE many reasons he was slower... but one of them was the overall reason and he knew two things might happen if someone found out. They would either mock him... or they would take pity on him, like try to help him or say he can't race anymore. West's face dropped into a sad frown as he stood atop the ledge, his heart falling in his chest. He didn't know why that subject was so touchy with him... it just made him sad.

Phantom looked up watching West canter up a rocky trail. She wanted to follow him but her gut told her no, so she just turned to face the herd watching them while he was gone.
