West groaned. "Always with the running!" He joked. He really couldn't wait to get out there, and he was sure he'd run around too. Just... not very fast. He was glad Phantom hadn't asked the real reason why he wasn't very fast.. yet. Yes, it did make it harder when he was 300 lbs heavier than the normal stallion... but that wouldn't make him as slow as he is. He shook of that sad thought he sniffed the air.

Phantom chuckled "Heyyy you like running around too, you can't tell you won't be running around out there" She flicked her tail turning around "I could probably get even faster out there by all the running I'll do" She was happy about that thought, she obviously loved running it made her feel young and free. It was the greatest feeling

West snorted. "I may like running, but not THAT much." He joked, tossing his mane. He was starting to arm up.. that was a good sign. "Oh boy... if you get any faster I'm doomed." He made a playful face, swishing his tail.

Phantom felt the warm sun hit her coat she flicked her tail enjoying the warmth "Who knows maybe a mircle will happen and you'll get faster then me out there" She giggled a bit at the thought, she knew it probably would not happen since she always prided herself in being fast and making sure she stayed the fastest

West snorted. "A miracle indeed." He masked the sadness in his voice, because he knew for sure that would NEVER happen. He stretched his back legs and shook his coat, preparing to walk up to the valley rim and check on things. He wished he could tell Phantom he used to be the fastest horse in his herd... but that would lead to her asking why he got so slow, which would lead to him telling her... which would lead to not so good things, so West refrained from telling her that.

Phantom looked at him a bit weird, the way West said that was a bit off but she just shook her head hoping she just heard wrong. She saw him turn around "Have fun with your leaderly duties..." She paused trying to think of a nickname "Man I gotta get another nickname for you" She huffed a bit annoyed she couldn't think of another one before prancing off

West laughed, striding away to the top of the valley. He looked out over the plains, wishing he could be out there. West shifted. He was trying to think up a good name for Phantom... when he was younger he was called the weirdest nickname. *The Need for Speed* The young fillies and colts would literally call, 'Hey Need for Speed!' He never really understood the nickname... apart that it fit him at the time.

Phantom stopped at the lake taking a drink, she stared at her reflection thinking real hard about a nickname for West thinking -Mr. slow aint gonna work anymore... Hollywood maybe cause he's so liked around the herd.. no...- She pinned her ears slightly trying to figure this out, she turned and started trotting around the place upset that she was stumped on his nickname

West suddenly laughed as he thought yo a nickname... that was hilarious and insulting. "Speed Weed." He murmured, his eye twinkling. "I bet she'd LOVE that..." he trailed off with a snort, amused. West glanced back out to the plains, content he finally found a fitting nickname... even if she didn't no really like it
