Comanche| Stallion, 5yrs| Mated: Complicated | Sire of 2 (Forte, Rosie)| M: Sundae (Dae)
Golden hues feel soft as the golden mare snapped her frame around, their hues locked for a moment before she began to tell a heart rinching story, he listened queitly and tried to step forward to confort the mare but, that seemed to only make her back away more. He sighed as he tried to find any hope left in the broken mare "It's not because you didn't care... if they were after you that isn't your fault. You fought to protect yourself and your foal, that's nothing you should be ashamed of! Any mother would have done that!" he did feel the pain of her losing a foal, he never experienced that and hoped he never had too.
"I know this isn't what you want to hear but stop blaming yourself, you are strong and worth this life, yes you lost a foal and nothing will replace that, but you could always have another, it's not the end of the world. You think you are a bad mother for wanting to get away from someone that forced you to love? That's nothing to feel guilty over!" his tone held a strong tone as he tried to be as calm as he could.
This time he didn't care what happened, she could nip him, kick him and do anything to push away, he didn't care, he soon walked to her side and sweetly wrapped his neck over hers, golden hues closed to feel her against him, he could tell she was scared and worry began to build up on his frame. He wanted nothing more than to ask her to stay. Edited at December 12, 2021 06:10 PM by Whispering Wood Barn

Sundae | Mare | 4yrs | M: Comanche, Open Sundae hated crying in front of this stallion... hated crying at all. She didn't need to do this, not here and not now. But at the same time... she felt as though this wieght that she'd borne for too long had been lifted off her shoulders. And before she realized it, she felt Comanche's gently embrace her. His soft warmth made the final pieces of her heart melt completely. She'd never felt someone care for her in the way he proved he did just now. She wanted so much to hold onto that feeling forver. But there was still Dell... and Dae knew better than to think that she could step in and take Dell's place even if she were worthy of it. She wasn't ready to take care of a family. If she was being honest, she doubted that she was ready to take care of the stallion she thought might... might love her. It was too much, too much to take so quickly. She closed her eyes and pulled away as gently as possible. She looked at the stallion with a soft smile in her eyes, but didn't move again, "I don't think I'm ready to have someone like you. And I refuse to take you away from Dell until you resolve it with her. You understand that, don't you? I mean... that is if you want me in your life..." Comanche| Stallion, 5yrs| Mated: Complicated | Sire of 2 (Forte, Rosie)| M: Sundae (Dae)
The stallion lost himself in the embrace he had created with the mare, he actually enjoyed it her company, her scent travel through his muzzle just as soft as the wind, her scent sinking into his thick coat. But, maybe he was enjoying this too much, he started to feel this longing desire and in a split second it was over, as the golden mare softly pulled away.
He let out a soft sigh, yet offered a warm grin back to her as his golden hues softly shined as he looked into her eyes, he wanted so bad to share his home with her. But, just as she had said it, the small image of Dell come into his vision... he almost felt bad for his actions but, it felt like his relationship with the black mare was gone.... was he moving too fast? Was he making the right choice?... he soon cleared his throat as the voice of Dae pulled him back into reality. "I understand..." he paused as it did hurt a bit that she didn't want someone like him but he chose to no let it show, he shifted his weight as he nickered "Of course I want you in my life" as he held her gaze once more. "That is.... if you want me to be apart of yours?" as he rose a brow in question Edited at December 12, 2021 08:12 PM by Whispering Wood Barn

Sundae | Mare | 4yrs | M: Comanche, Open Sundae did everything she could to keep anymore tears from spilling out. In a matter of a couple minutes she returned to her usual self. Who thought she'd melt so quickly for a stallion. Of course Comanche wasn't just any stallion. she took in his words with a couple deep breaths, listening to his words with her golden ears perked. Her tail brushed gently against the twigs that peaked up through the ground. The water still trickled, but no sound could distract her from Comanche's voice. Did she want him in her life? Of course, there was no question. Even if just as a friend he had changed her entire view on life. It meant a lot to her. She flickered a smile, "I'd like that... quite a bit. Even if just as friends. But... the big reason I was leaving was because that injury that took my foal. I was going to find someone -an old acquaintance- to help me. You know those painful 'spasms' I have? Well they are getting worse and I need help. So, maybe while you sort things out here, I'll go and find help."

The stallion's audits perked as he noticed a smile show upon her frame, it warmed his heart to see that there was still a fighter inside the mare, he chuckled some with a grin as he sweelty nipped at her forelock, knowing that she wanted him back meant a lot in. Yet, the word friend tugged in his mind and toyed with his thoughts... he softly snorted as the mare was wanting to wonder off once again and he wasn't sure if he was ready to face Dell just yet. Softly smirking as an idea popped in his head "Why don't I come with you?" he nickered as he paced to her side once more. "I rather not go home right now and besides I can help you if you have another painful attack" he grinned once more as his golden hues trailed over her once more. Sundae | Mare | 4yrs | M: Comanche, Open The buckskin tossed her tail back and forth, grinning slightly at the stallion's lightheartedness. After what had just happened, it was good to see him in such high spirits. And to think those high spirits were because of her. Her ears pricked at his offer, and her expression became more thoughtful. He wanted to come with her. She should have resisted, but there was no need anymore. The only barrier now was the one that had guarded her heart since she was a filly. "I wouldn't mind the company," She spoke at last, feeling a rush of gratitude at the stallion's offer. It would be nice to have a traveling companion... a friend... Comanche, "It would be nice to have a friend. I've never had one of those before. But you should send word back to the herd- so your mother and foals don't get worried."

A pure grin appeared on the stud's frame of her approval of wanting to come with her, he needed to clear his mind and this trip would help him plus he wanted to get to know Dae better. He softly soured his frame with a huff "I think they will be fine without me" he nickered with a playful grin but, for some reason that golden mare had a way of perswading the stallion, he sighed with a roll of his hues "okay okay.. fine" the stallion softly trotted forwards some, looking to see which way the herd was, audits perked as he paced a few more steps and let out a loud nicker in hopes to hear a return from his mother.
He stood still as his audits twitched to pick up any signs, before letting another nicker into the air and finally he heard a faint whinny echo back to him. It was his mother. He smiled, as a worried nicker busted through the air, he softly pinned his audits as he let out a a deeper squeal to let his mother know he was okay and that he would be back before she knew it. Golden hues softly looked back at Dae, "All is good" he nickered with a playful smirk. Edited at December 14, 2021 03:12 PM by Whispering Wood Barn

Sundae | Mare | 4yrs | M: Comanche, Open Sundae smiled back at the stallion, afterward shaking her head at him. She then turned and flicked her tail up at his face, "You, Comanche, need not be such a flirt all the time. I can't beleive you don't have a herd of mares already. Anyway, just remember that I am the one allowing you to come with me on this perilous journey. But you need not worry, I will defend you if the need arise." "I've been looking out for myself for a long time. Just ask the countless stallions I've buried," She didn't give him the chance to see how serious she was. Instead she started on her way without him, turning and venturing through the woods. Short sorry!)

The stallion softly rolled his hues as he walked closer to the golden mare. "Me? A flirt? Never." he snorted sorta serious yet, there was times he wasn't sure if he was or not. Audits softly perked as he wasn't as shocked as Dae that he didn't have a herd, he rose a brow "Maybe I'm not much of a herd guy and I assure you back that I need no protection but, I'd love to see a girl fight" he nickered softly with a playful grin to the mare yet her last words cause him to have a slight gulp an audit pinned and before he knew it she had began into the thick of the woods.
There was somthing he couldn't put his tongue on about this mare but, she sure did have fight in her. He huffed to himself as he blew his forelock out of his frame and trotted after her. Edited at December 15, 2021 05:17 PM by Whispering Wood Barn
