"I'll protect you." Sawyer said so quietly, he didn't know if Gabi even heard. He reached it quickly and grabbed her hand between both of his, before she could pull it back to her body. He wanted to say something about her being able to touch him whenever she would like, but his breath caught and no words came out.

She nodded softly at his words then toghtened up out if suprise when he reached out and took her hand. She relaxed a second after and looked up at him. "That will be something for me to get used to."she admitted softly. "I'm mot used to having others watching my back, even with working at the PD." She added

Sawyer heard her words but didn't respond, he had an overwhelming desire to kiss Gabi, not roughly, but soft and loving. That kinda scared him. He pulled Gabi hand to his body placing it flat on her chest over his heart, covering it with one of his own hands. He knew she could probably feel his heart racing, beating out of his chest. But he didn't care. He wanted to protect this girl and keep her safe. He wanted to love her well she healed.

Gabriella stepped closer as Sawyer pulled her closer to place her hand on his chest. She felt his heart racing before she looked back up at him. There was a far off longing look in his eyes when she looked back at him. Her own heart started to race a little. She placed her other hand on Sawyers chest lightly. The soft fabric of his short meeting her finger tips as she brought her lips to meet Sawyer.

Sawyer was surprised when she kissed him, and it took a second to respond. He snapped back, and softly returned the kiss. Placing one hand on her waist to pull her closer, leaving only inches between them.

Gabriella relaxed and felt her self calm down. She pulled back softly and rested her forehead against Sayers softly with her eyes closed."i love him." A voice rang in her head. "You don't know what love is, girl." Another range. They were true. She loved him,but at the same time she had never been in love, never needed or wanted someone else, so how could she know if she was really in love. She had been hurt by so many people, used by so many. How could she really tell if Sawyer wanted more then to use her. "He's not like that." Another voice rang. "How would you know. You have known him for a few days, and his friends tried to hurt you." Another voice said.

Sawyer felt her relax and happiness rose in his chest. He loved that she was comfortable. When he opened his eyes, he saw a far away look in Gabi's eyes. "Hey," he said softly, his voice shakey from nerves. "Are you alright?"

When Sawyer spoke to her she snapped out of her thoughts. She nodded softly before letting out a deep breath. "Yes. i'm okay." She replied quietly as her phone buzzed in her pocket. She closed her eyes tight and pulled away a little to reach back and get it. She saw Jay was calling and she sighed. "I've gotta get this." She told him as she watched him.

Sawyer nodded, glad she was alright. When her phone rang, he released her waist, watching her face.

She smiled softly and stepped by the door before answering Jay. "Whats up?" Her voice and tone changed from calm and relaxed, to tough and ready to go. It was odd how she could change her tone so quick.
