Kaya Hays | Jumping/Stable Hand | M: Kellsi She grins, turning and nudging her mount back into a trot. She works around the perimeter, scoping out how she wanted to do take the course. Up, down, up, down, nudge. The mule kicks into a canter smoothly, body collecting to take the corner. One... Two... The pair clear the crossrail, hopping over the knee-high jump with ease. Kaya's mind flashes images of the course, playing a vision of where her and Poko needed to go. Face set with determinatiom, she approaches a line, clicking to the mule. Their speed picks up, another jump cleared. Another second, and the following is also cleared. Now for a challenge. The taller end of the course was saved for last. The first few were cleared, but as the pair neared the last, Poko flicks her ears back. Up, over, and the pole makes a resounding noise in Kaya's ears. They had clipped it. Not down, but still not great. She circles the mule, bringing her to a halt next to Kellsi again before hopping off to check her legs in case she had managed to injure herself. Finding nothing, Kaya sighs in relief and looks over at Kellsi, hand on the reigns drooped over the mule's neck, "The last one wasn't great. I either pushed her too much or not enough." She praises the mule with a couple pats, attention on the trainer. |

Just keep practicing slowly over the jumps the height of the last one and you should be perfect. But that was amazing. You two make a great team. And it was probably nothing, sometimes even olympic level teams brush a jump." She smiles, thinking if there was anything else to correct, but she couldn't think of anything. |

Ace Wilder/Owner/M: Kellsi, Kaya, River When Ace and River were coming back towards the barn, Ace pulled gently on the reins and River stopped short. Ace watched as Kellsi and Kaya talked, and then watched as Kaya and her mule go threw the course with ease. "We made a good choice, didn't we." she whispered to River. "She will do great things if she keeps working at it... and have Kellsi keep working with her." Ace then clicked and River started troting again with excitment in her steps and quickly go to the barn in no time. Ace got out and unhitched River with such easy and quickness, it almost was like River never was in a harness. She then led the happy pony into her stall and then left after making sure the door was hooked good. After getting back into the office, she sat at her desk, day dreaming of her younger days of showing. |
