Deep in the heart of Azure Mountain stables, a lone woman sat on her haunches with a single horse before her. The wonderous creature was a gray mare, one that had been abused and neglected for far too long. Her coat was dull and her mane tousled as if she'd just run through a field of flowers. She looked more like a lost child than a horse, and yet to see such a sight would have elicited an entirely different response from most people.

This woman, however, was not one of those people. To her, all horses were special. They each held their own unique personalities, and their own quirks and they each carried within them their own stories. In fact, this particular horse had been rescued by the woman herself only a few days prior. She always met the needs of abused horses and took them in as if they were her children.
