I cull any mares that are not all up W4 and all E colts are gelded.

Day 4 (I think- might be 5) of not spooking for this little shit. I'm now desperate to know even though she's not a keeper anyway xD

Mind explaining it for Es?

Ohhhh training will be different with E mares. Disregard my tactics, that's for Ws
Minerva

I geld all my SD colts as everything gets entered into futurity. I've got a small collection of EWW combo boys that I can't make myself get rid of that end up as SD daddies
Sagruesal
05:57:43 Ru
I see. I'm in the beginning, slowly getting more Ws, but most of my stock are E mares and big cull is ahead. I wouldn't mind additional barn so I am lenient and allow mares to bring me one or two foals to make up for their testing fees haha
Cappuccino
05:55:01 Heyy it's Capp
Yep. Im a softie so if my boys are up 1 week 3, they can stick around in hopes they gain more week 6 - if they are only up the one again week 6 - geld. if they go up 2 week 6 and don't get the 3rd bar week 7 - geld
Sagruesal
05:53:05 Ru
Oooh so that's how you cull SD stock.
Cappuccino
05:52:22 Heyy it's Capp
If my mares aren't up all week 7 they are culled. If they don't go up any week 3 they are also culled. Granted Ive been doing SD for a hot minute now so my stock is pretty strong

Even mares?

05:48:48 Heyy it's Capp
If my SDs aren't up all week 7 they are culled. Ive started gelding boys who aren't up at least 2 week 6 too LOL, I haven't started to geld them if they don't level week 6 yet tho

Breeding is RNG, I never mind. Worst case, FR flops at 2. But last batch of fillies levels up surprisingly good, half of them are up W7
Cappuccino
05:45:54 Heyy it's Capp
Leveling is a better predictor than training IMO. Leveling week 7 and then week 14 or 15 are typically good indicators (although, as with everything on this game, nothing is guaranteed XD )

Week 14/15 can definitely be interesting, I track until week 16.
Cappuccino
05:44:59 Heyy it's Capp
yes, but were talking about when to stop tracking. Those weeks are why I continue

This filly is labeled "golden dunalino"--golden meaning champagne. She is also displaying the golden dunalino image. As her gene test shows, she is not Ch (neither is either parent). Unless I'm just too tired and making things up, she should be just "dunalino".

Champagne is "gold," not "golden." Golden dunalino is pale palomino + dun.

I assume you're right, but I think that's super bizarre. Why call it "golden" which is very easily confused with "gold" and which nobody would interpret as pale dunalino? Plus, the golden dunalino art is yellowy like the gold champagne and less pale than the normal one.
Thanks for correcting me--glad it's not a bug. Although definitely very misleading labeling :)

I suppose I could be wrong about it being analogous to pale pally, but that's how I always thought of it. :)

Gold Dun (Champagne)

Just for comparison. I'm not sure the golden is lighter than the regular dunalino, but it may be just that the dun gene modifies the color where it's hard to tell. The primitive markings are definitely less intense, but that happens sometimes even on the same color horse.

Thanks for posting the image comparison.
Part of my confusion is that it really looks like the gold champagne layer was taken and modified/used somehow to get the golden dunalino image.
If you look at the wither markings, extent of the dark color on the face, and yellowy color in the golden dunalino and gold champagne, then compare those to the dunalino, it really seems odd.
