IÂ’m hoping just to get them more comfortable with people. They have been pasture pets for a while but all are sound. My fiancés parents pretty much just gave them to me last night saying they all need to be worked with anyways. I told them I wanted to buy a horse and she said that all three of the horses on the property were mine to do whatever with. I just kind of have to start from ground zero.

Will do! IÂ’m planning on getting a bareback pad for one of them since he doesnÂ’t seem to pick up cues very well. But all were ridden western with the mare being ridden English for a bit.

All three of them are skittish so IÂ’m going to start with groundwork and one of them was severely abused by a previous owners (covered in scars and has very specific triggers) who I am going to really just work with on her own terms.

Does anyone have any advice or suggestions for starting horses that havenÂ’t been under saddle in 5 years?

FInally got some of the lids in my jar collection painted, the pick jar lid is white with blue brin and the sauce jar is just plain black. I hold my money in the pickle jar so I'm gonna put a SpongeBob dollar on it.

Because when you have really dry lips, just daintily putting it on there isn't going to cut it lol

Purchased Horses Being Free Ranged With No Action on My Part January 1, 2020 09:43 AM

I was in the sales area, buying cheap horses in order to FR them to complete a quest. I'd buy 10-20 at a time, close the tab with the horse, then go to my Incoming #1 barn to mass FR them (which has worked multiple times in the past) -- only the barn was empty each time. I know I'd bought them, because I received the "Congratulations" message at the top of each horse's page.
So I started buying two or three, closing the tab without FR'ing them, then opening the barn (by clicking on the location in the horse's bio) to see if they were there. They were, so I kept on buying.
As I was buying, the popup appeared indicating that I'd completed a HE quest -- and Incoming #1 was completely empty. In the place of the FR quest was the quest to breed a Premium Brindle Foal.
This problem only happened with purchased horses -- the foals I bred this morning were all in Incoming #1 (which isn't my original barn, but a barn I purchased well over a year ago), though I moved them to another Incoming barn to make room for the purchases, so I could mass release the new horses instead of using the dropdown, which can be incredibly tedious when you're using it on hundreds of horses.
Something is up, and it isn't good. I'm afraid to go over and look for new breeding stock in case they might be FR'd automatically as soon as I buy them.
