It is not fun. It takes two people no matter how big the snake is. My husband hated it.

Lol, considering how much Cowboy likes to move around I can only imagine trying to get him to hold still to inject him. XD

Yeah stuck shed is easy. I would mich rather do the remedies for that then inject a snake lol.
Believe it or not they do not like that.

He has no signs of a respiratory illness. I am mostly just worried about stuck shed. I will definitely hit you up if anything goes wrong though. 😊

Most bad sheds can be rectified with at home remedies. So if he does have stuck shed just hit me up. But if he got a respiratory illness that would have to be seen by a vet. I have had several ball pythons go through with them- they are ugly

@Celeste, whew, good to know. I am probably just overly anxious. The closest exotic vet is also an hour away and I hear it takes awhile to get an appointment so I am worried if something goes wrong I won't have a quick solution.

See I was told with Hognoses not to increase humidity because of respiratory concerns- the humid hide should be enough just maintain that.

@Celeste, do you increase the humidity in the enclosure when your snake sheds? Cowboy has a humid hide, but I wonder if I should add a humidifier to my room.

I agree with everything said by others. My experience was and is totally different. I starting riding at age six. I've been to three different barns as a kid. My best friend was Indian. They never got bullied or anything like that ever. Every barn I was at had very nice stable hands, riders and trainers. I loved my experience. In college, which I just finished my sophomore year, everyone there was nice. I mean, my parent had some money so I have my own barn now, which everyone there I hired and the riders there are awesome. I don't know, but you had really bad luck and I've just been at great places for riding. Where I live everyone in the equestrian community that I know are super nice.

Totally agree. Rhett's one of my closest friends and I'm currently living at his barn. All the riders are very respectful of each other. Even at my barn down in Wellington (I'm taking a quick vacation and looking at Rhett's horses), my two partner trainers and our riders are very nice. At other barns, not so much. I grew up with Rhett and our best friend wasn't bullied at all. I have to say, Minnesota barns are mostly super friendly. I don't know where you are, but if you're comfortable with telling, then I'll know if that's normal for where you live, or if that's a just a big group of brats.

I ride in Oregon. I don't think it's the norm for the area, but I'm not sure seeing as I haven't lived here very long.
