Yep. We did get him straightened out. It was for puppy head start. But when the owners came to get him, they didn't speak English (I know very little Spanish) and didn't give me time to actually show them how to handle him.

1 day goes by and they call asking questions about why isn't he listening 🤦‍♀️

I was notified waaaay late that he needed to be trained with Spanish commands rather than English. Like... 1 week before pick up late.

What I was surprised by was the pedigree dog show I was at yesterday was full of restricted dog breeds
Yet there wasn't a muzzle in sight
Now I don't know a lot about showing, maybe you can't wear muzzle etc but the amount of people there with their dogs who weren't doing a show and had restricted breeds with no muzzle on is crazy

But Mals have a certain, aloofness, er, stubborness, combined with super high drive and energy, and intelligence.
Not a combo that 99.5% of dog owners need.

I put a lot of time into our huskies, and am very proud of them. I've only ever had shephards so it was a much different learning curve for me! They deffo have their Husky moments... I have no idea how good they'll be at it, but for something to do we're going to teach them tracking this summer, and I may try to teach our girl agility. Love them to bits!

My dogs are health tested, temperament tested, and except some that didnÂ’t go anywhere thanks to the covid years, most have titles of some sort.
Every puppy goes home with a health check, all current vaccines etc, and the agreement it is never to go to a shelter, it can always be sent back to me.

They are a very unique breed. My friend who trains professionally said they can be hard and only people that will put the time into training them should get them

We have had a few come through the kennel for training, and they're not my type at all.
