Most people talk about the Romans as if they are all the same, when in reality the Roman Empire lasted over a thousand years. It's like comparing someone from 1024 and 2024 and saying they're basically the same.

Why is a firetruck called a firetruck if it carries water? Why are apartments called apartments if they're all stuck together?
