Just read six of crows and I loved it! But if you're going to read it, make sure you have book 2 handy so you can read it after you've finished the first one. I have to wait and it's killing me!

I'm very excited to try out Six of Crows. I've heard nothing, but good things and it'll be my first true fantasy book. I am skipping the Shadow and Bones series because I heard it isn't necessary in order to read Six of Crows (and if I'm being honest I heard those books sucked), but did you guys read Shadow and Bones? Did you like it? Was it worth it?

I've watched the first season of the TV show but I've never read the books, although I do plan on it. I've heard it's not as good as six of crows, so I'm in no rush to read it

I read SoC before going on to the S&B trilogy. The author, Bardugo, definitely polished her writing skills for SoC. S&B is a great trilogy, but definitely not as compelling and well-written as SoC and those that follow it (it's sequel, Crooked Kingdom, and another duology in the same universe - King Of Scars) If you like the writing style of SoC, then the S&B trilogy is definitely a must-read in order to understand the King Of Scars duology as it is a direct add-on to S&B, not a stand-alone duo like SoC/CK
