This is SO true. Same goes for books, I read somewhere that for a children's book to be good, it has to be enjoyable for an adult. I.e. Mary Poppins, Miss Perigrines Home for Peculiar Children trilogy, Harry Potter, etc. I still love Cars, Toy Story, How To Train Your Dragon, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. A lot of newer shows focus more on overstimulating kids with bright colors, fast animation, and they don't hold a candle to the old stuff. Ninjago has a good story, nice character development, and the animation style is neat, I just don't have time to watch all of it xD |
