Dark's Free Palettes

Welcome to my free palette post! Here you'll find links to a website called PasteBin. This website allows me to paste my code for some free palettes that I've made so anyone can access them without me having to use the palette sale feature, which would be a hassle if more than a few people want to use these.

These palettes are free and open source. That means yes, you're free to edit them and post the new versions you make! You don't need to ask my permission.

If you have questons or need help: you may PM me, post it here in this thread, or post it in my palette guide thread instead. I will see it no matter what (I'm subscribed to this thread and my guide), but I'll probably reply faster by PM.

Some Rules/Guidelines

- I highly reccomend you click "subscribe to OP" on this thread. I will be posting updates to the palettes here and answering questions. You will only be notified of updates if you subscribe to the thread.

- If you make a new version of a palette, a recolour, or otherwise want to post your edits somewhere, please post it in this thread. That will keep things neat for the mods. It also means I can pin your recolours so others can more easily view them!

- I will be combing through the code of anybody's recolours and such and making sure it will work and it's not broken or made badly on purpose to break other's pages. If it is made in bad faith I will PM a mod asking them to delete your post. Please don't be that guy. I don't want this thread removed because somebody decided to be a troll. It's a good idea to have a friend read over your code to make sure it isn't broken before you post it.

- Be polite if you have questions please! Don't be afraid to ask them here in this thread or here in my palette guide thread. You can also PM me which will likely get you a much faster reply.

- Credit me please! I took a few days to make these, and if you say you made it when you didn't I will block you. You can credit like this in your stable bio: "Palette template made by The Unknown #282283", or any other variation. I don't mind and actually would prefer that you disclose if you made your own changes.

- If you want your palette added to the Community section of this main post so it appears at the top, PM me your palette posted on PasteBin (ask me for help using Pastebin if you don't know how) or send me an in-game palette offer so I can test it first. If it's all good and has no errors, I will add it to the main post for you!

Let's get to the fun part!

How to Use the Palettes

To use PasteBin, follow these steps:

1. Select a palette link.

Easy. Just click on the name of the palette that you like following this guide post. It'll open in a new tab. In my example I use the green one.

2. Click "copy".

Click the "copy" button in the top right/center of the code window. It's circled and pointed to in this screenshot in blue (click the screenshot to make it bigger if you can't see it):

When you hover over it on desktop/PC, it'll say "Copy raw to clipboard". That's the button you want to click.

3. Make a new palette and paste your code.

Go to my palette guide post linked here and follow the steps to make a new palette. A simple guide with no pictures is below though.

3.1. Go to stable > stable activities > manage palettes

"Manage Palettes" is at the bottom of the page, so you may need to scroll to see it.

3.2. Paste your code you just copied into the big box.

3.3. Title your palette.

I call mine "Dark - Free [colour]" and naming it the same way will make it easier for me to help you if you need me to help. If you want to name it something else though, feel free! You can see what I name the palettes in the PasteBin link at the top of the code.

4. Save it.

Congrats! You now have one of my free palettes saved. Just select it from the "Select Custom Palette For Stable" dropdown and you'll have it applied!

How to Update Your Palettes

If I post an update and you wish to update your palette, follow these steps.

1. Follow steps 1, 2 and 3.1 above.

Open the palette link that you want to update, and copy the code in the palette manage page, same as when you first got it.

2. Open your palette in the editor.

Choose it from the dropdown menu above the edit section in the manage palettes page. It should open the code for you.

3. Highlight all the old code in the big box.

Click inside of the big box, and hit "control + A" on your keyboard. This will select all of the text.

4. Paste your new code and save.

Now hit "control + V" to paste in the new code overtop of the old code and save it. This will update your palette instead of creating a new one. Congrats! Your palette is now updated.

The Palettes

Let's get to the palettes. If you don't know how to use or apply them read the guide post above or check out my dedicated palette guide post. If you'd like to edit them but don't know how, read the guide post. It's linked here.

Notes

- Each palette will have a couple of preview images underneath it. You can look at those to see which colour you like.

- They are seperated into two sections: "Official Palettes" and "Community Palettes". The official ones are made by me. If you're worried about using ones made by others or prefer to use my own palettes, use these ones. Community palettes are ones made by the community and submitted to me via PM to be added to the main post. If you want to know how to get your recolour added, refer to the rules in post 1.

- If you find errors please PM me. I will fix them and then post with a list of any changes made. Refer to the 2nd post in this thread for how to update your palette.

- Feel free to request certain colours! I'll add them to a list and put your name next to it once I post it :)
