After a moment or two, the girl cocked her head and gave a small smile. "Babe, you know that I'll do whatever you ask... if you want me to wash your hair every night, then so be it," she mused lightly before moving to press a soft kiss to his cheek. It didn't take long for them to get going, though, and soon enough they were on their way to the doctors ward. They still needed to come and visit just because they could at some point, rather than for it to be tending to Sage's injuries. She greeted the older man happily when they arrived, and soon enough moved to plop down in the chair next to the bed while Sage had his stitches out... it did seem oddly busy in the castle that day. She wasn't exactly sure what was going on, but in truth she didn't seem to care all that much.

Sage had chuckled softly and pecked Mari on the lips when she said she'd do whatever he wanted her to. "I know," he hummed lightly before he'd gotten up. Soon enough though, he found himself back in the ward, where the doctor has plopped him onto his back on a bed and went about his business taking the stitches out. He's numbed the area up, so Sage didn't really feel anything besides some weird pulling sort of things....so he sort of just used the time to rest for a bit before they had to head back. Travelling had exhausted him more than he'd expected, if he was being honest. Soon enough though, he was nestled back home on the couch, passing out before Mari even turned around with a blanket for him.

The woman sort of sat there tiredly while she waited. She thanked the older man before they headed back, and sort of looked over at Sage with a small smile once he'd settled down... the doctor had given him something to ease the pain of the stitches coming out, so he was probably more tired than before. She had to admit, she was a bit worried he was so tired, but it was goof that he was getting some rest. She sighed and moved to peck his cheek and tucked him in on the couch, not really sure what to do anymore.

Sage slept long enough to mostly get the medicine out of his system...which was really only around an hour or so, since it was quick lasting pain killers, really just for while the doctor had worked. His chest did hurt a bit once he woke up, but the little spots where the stitches had been would have to heal now, so he'd sort of expected it. He moved to sit up with a sort of groggy groan, peering over at Mari, who was in the kitchen, cleaning the already very clean counter. "You wipe that off much more, we won't have a counter anymore," he noted lightly, really just teasing the girl a bit. It was definitely easier to move with the stitches gone...though he should probablytake a day or two to let it all scab up before he tried to do much more, he supposed.

The woman sort of jumped at the sound of his voice, though looked over at her husband before furrowing her brows. "I have nothing to do," she complained before washing her hands and wandering over, sort of leaning over him curiously. "How're you feeling?" She asked worridly before furrowing her brows deeper. "Better at all?" She asked as she set herself down on the side of the couch. She then sort of rolled her eyes. "If you gave me something to do maybe I wouldn't be scrubbing our furniture away," she huffed gently to him.

Sage chuckled lightly in response to his wife's comment and shook his head on amusement. "Mari, you have more people to take care of now than you did a couple weeks ago," he teased her lightly, moving to rest his head in her lap when she sat down by him, grinning up at her. "I'm a little sore, where the stitches were, but it's easier to move around," he informed her with a slight shrug. "Well at the moment, I wouldn't mind painting," he hummed lightly. "You could talk while I work if you want," he said.

The girl groaned, then shook her head. "You and the kids? The kids pretty much look after themselves, I'll cook and clean up after them and you sleep all day so there's not much to care for there," she mused lightly to him after a moment, then ran her hands through his hair. "Sage I have nothing to talk to you about," she mused lightly before rolling her eyes and looked over at him. "It's mostly the swelling now... it'll look better tomorrow, promise," she mused, then nodded lightly to him. "I'll drop you off in the studio if you want," she hummed softly.

Sage chuckled when Mari complained he and the kids weren't enough work, and he gave her a grin. "We could always make another one," he joked, knowing that was definitely not really something that would work out. It was just a joke, really. Though, when she noted she could drop him off at the studio he shrugged with a nod. "Sure," he chirped. "If your rally wanted to do something you could organize the paints or something," he added. If she was bored, he didn't mind her hanging around in the studio with him. In fact, it was nice sometimes, since it didn't happen very often.

The girl raised a brow at him and shook her head. "I don't think we could do that," she mused gently to him. "But you could go pick one up from off the streets. You know, an extra challange," she teased gently before giving him a small smile. "I just thought you liked to work yourself in there," she hummed gently to him before giving a small nod. "Yeah, I'll come help," she agreed before offering him her hands to help him up.

Sage chuckled lightly when she mentioned picking up a baby off the streets. "Well, I've managed two, so who knows," he noted with a sort of chuckle. He did sometimes wonder what became of that other baby...but he'd been glad he'd made the decision he did. It would gain a better family through the doctor than he could have given it. "Yeah, but I don't mind your presence now and again," he chirped, letting her help him get up and wander over to the studio, where he plopped down in his chair and moved to finish the piece of the beach he'd almost finished. It was big enough that he had to roll the chair around rather often, so it would fetch a good price. Which was good, since they needed the art to go so they could get money, as the horses had sort of been put on stand by for a while.
