When the girl sort of just squealed out her answer, sage moved to wrap his arm around her shoulders and squeeze her gently in a sort of side hug. The doctor said his gaze to sage, evidently worried but confused. "Why don't we just start with something to help her sleep," sage murmured after a moment, to which the doctor nodded and wandered off to grab the medications he'd decided were best. He shuffled back in a few moments later, handing Anya two pill bottles. "The first ones to knock you out at night. The second is to help you relax a bit through the day," he told the girl, handing her a set of written instructions. It wasn't much....a pill a day with food, but even so it was best to give patients instructions. Sage thanked the old man quietly, and then moved to help Anya up, prodding her gently back towards her room.

The woman just sort of sat there for a moment, her eyes glued to the floor as she tried to calm her breathing down. She didn't know what was going on, but the sudden change from being settled by herself to being put on the spot to try and ask for help infront of the doctor and Sage seemed to tip her off a little. It just felt like a little bit more pressure, and seemingly just enough to crush her. It was such a strange feeling... one she couldn't quite explain. She'd never felt it before. The lump was still in her throat, and she was still struggling to push out any more words, but by then Sage had interrupted and she soon found herself flopping back on her bed. It was calmer in here.,. She felt safer, and so she managed to calm her breathing down just a little.

Sage walked the girl back to her room, sighing when she just flopped down on the bed. She really did look terrible....and he wanted to help, but right then he just wasn't sure what to do. He could only help her so much. She had to help herself. He knew it would take a while for her to come around...he realized he'd been just as stubborn, probably worse than she was being now. "Why don't you take your meds and get soem rest. I can come back tomorrow to start working, yeah," he suggested quietly, offering her the pills and a glass of water. When she finally accepted them, he waited for her to settled down again before saying goodbye and pecking a brotherly peck to her cheek before leaving the room, turnign the lights off, and closing the door before movign to get Chaos and head home. It was nearly dinner time by then, and he was hungry...but he was also worried about mari. What if she just got worse? What if she pushed him away? What if he did something that caused her to think he didn't care, or...something?

The woman's sort of just rested on the the bed, her legs shaking as they started to relax on the bad. Her heart was still thumping, and her head was hurting so suddenly. She still didn't know what was happening. She didn't know why she was just so close to breaking down the moment she had to explain it. Someone was there and willing to help her, and yet she just couldn't accept it.. She felt so weak so suddenly. This was definitely something she'd have to talk about, probably to Sage... if he even wanted to listen. The idea of someone sitting there and actually wanting to listen just seemed so foreign to her. She wasn't really sure what to expect, but her heart sort of dropped when he left, though. It was a little sudden, and she had to admit that ot sort of just made her feel a little sick when she was just chucked some meds.
Mari was wandering around the kitchen happily, just tidying up from the kids dinner. It wasn't late persay, but the temperature had definitely dropped a little. It certainly wasn't as warm, anyway. She spend a little while scrubbing the counters before eventually just going to flop down on the couch happily while she waited for Sage to get back. She'd left his dinner in the oven to stay warm as she got the kids all ready for bed, then went to slight the fire to hopefully keep the roof from freezing over. Sage had made sure the girl was settled before he went to say hi to att, who was down at the barns. He didn't stay long....he just chatted for a few minutes, and answered some questions before hopping back on chaos and heading back home. It didn't take long to put the stallion back away and settled for the night, and so he wandered back in the house at a reasonable time. He noticed Mari on the couch, and he chuckled softly, moving to flop down next to her happily. "miss me," he asked teasingly.

It didn't take long for her to eventually settle down, though. She looked over at Sage when he wandered in, and sort of raised a brow. "Miss you? Sage in was planet would I miss you," she mused lightly. When he flopped down next to her, she moved to peck his cheek before gesturing to the oven. "You have some dinner in there," she hummed softly.

Sage chuckled softly in response to his wife's comment, and moved to peck her on the cheek lightly. "Oh good. Now I definitely feel welcome," he teased her lightly before moving to peer into the oven hungrily and grabbing the food she'd left out. He plopped it on a plate and grabbed a glass of water, bringing it over so he could sit on the couch next to Mari while he ate. "The kids all ready for bed," he asked. "I don't hear any little feet running around anymore," he added with a fond chuckle.

The woman flashed him a little grin at his tease, her eyes sort of trailing up and as wandered to grab his plate. It was so stupid, but she was still so excited to see him... she always was, she supposed. She always missed him. Maybe she was just too clingy. The thought amused her though, and she offered him a little smile when he flopped down next to her. Mari then nodded when he asked about the kids. "Yeah. Silas was all tuckered out and Liz just wanted to chill a bit," she mused lightly. "They've been alright about getting themselves to bed recently," she babbled happily, clearly very proud of the little people. She grinned over at him again, grabbing his plate and going to wash up. He'd been out all day, so she figured he'd just want to chill out a little. And, he probably wouldn't want to wash up. She wandered back over and wrapped her arms lightly around his neck as she plopped down on his lap, a little grin spreading scross her face. "And I maybe missed you a little bit," she mused lightly.

Sage hummed softly and nodded when she mentioned that the kids were already in bed and probably asleep. "He was out about with quite a bit of energy today," he mused with a soft chuckle. He let her take his empty plate once he was done, just settling down onto the couch happily, chuckling when she plopped on his lap and tilting his chin up for a kiss as he wrapped his arms around her happily. "hmmm, well now you have me all to yourself," he hummed lightly, grinning up at her.

Mari smiled softly as the man mentioned Silas running around. Liz had the energy too, but was a lot more chilled out with it all. Between the two of them, she and Sage had made some pretty cool kids. At least Mari thought so, anyway. "You should start taking him out more in the mornings. He loves it," she hummed happily to him. Well, the child would always running around and the likes... but he needed to put his energy towards something, and if Sage would let him help with the horses she was more than sure he'd enjoy that. Mari smiled happily when he kissed her, and sort of just moved to rest against him. At his comment, she sort of raised a brow and gave a small laugh. "I know. And I haven't a clue what to do with you," she mused, another chuckle escaping her. She sort of leaned over to the coffee table and grabbed a chocolate cookie from a tin. "Maybe you'd like a cookie?" She teased with an amused chuckle.
