Okay glad I'm not the only one lol! Doesn't help that I have extreme writers block today T-T. Replying now!) ~~~~ Andi let out a soft snort at his joke as she also saw that he was pushing through his pain like he always did. That in itself was sort of a relief as it meant that he was still strong willed as usual, if there were to ever come a day where Tyler did not fight through his pain then that would be the day the world was ending. Andi then watched as his smile faded out once more, seeing the gears start to turn in his head as he just sat in silence and thought. She wondered what all he could be thinking about.. Was it the accidnet? Maybe it was about whether he was still human or not? Or maybe it was what was going on with his injuries?... She had no clue but she truly wish she did know so that she could make it better... Or if she could she would make all things that fogged his mind go away. Andi let out a small sigh, no matter what Tyler said about her being a lifesave and what not she truly just felt helpless in the moment. There was countless times Tyler made her feel safe or comfortable, whenever she had nightmares or her brain just nonstop ate away at her with questions he always made it better. And at that moment she could do none of that... Andi really did just feel useless so when she saw that Tyler seemed to become more filled with terror than anything else she knew she needed to help. At his response she let out a small sigh knowing what Tyler just said wasn't the truth but she wasn't going to try and pressure anything out of him. He' would tell her in his own time but for now she would just help him through whatever he decided to tell her. "You should g-get some rest then" Andi spoke to him firmly but softly "It will help with the concussion and the side effects that come with it" She said speaking in her same soft and even tone. (I hate writer's block lol) +++ Tyler stared at the wall for a moment, feeling his brain start spiraling again. It wasnt something that happened often. As a lot of people had commented, he was a left brain thinker. He usually wasnt very emotional, he wasnt very artistic, and he was not social at all. Even with all this he couldn't help the tendril of pure terror that tried to creep in, wrapping around his brain like a cold shadow. It was as if his brain itself was being suffocated. With the intense beeping of the monitor came the nurse. She walked in, looking mighty concerned. "Sweetie, how are you feeling?" The nurse asked Andi first, knowing the girl shouldn't be out of bed. Instead of talking to Tyler, she instead walked over to the machinery and turned a small dial. It was attached to two bags, both with clear liquid, though one was much smaller than the other. "I'm sorry but you have to leave. His blood pressure cannot be elevated for this long. I will try to see if I can get you two in a room together- it shouldn't be too hard to wheel the beds in a bigger area." The nurse pointed out kindly. When she turned the dial she had opened the valve for a sedative to go into Tyler's bloodstream, through the IV on his arm. He almost immediately started feeling drowsy. "N-no dont make her go..." his voice was almost a whisper, and he had barely heard the nurse. The world grew even more blurry and every grew quieter as he started to slip off. "Andi..." Tyler mumbled before he passed out, his head falling limp on the pillow.

Andi's gaze slowly drifted away from Tyler as she heard the nurse walk in. She tracked the nurses every move, just keeping her mind distracted from the never ending thoughts while the nurse spoke. "I'm doing.. fine.." She spoke lowly, it was the truth.. Well not entirely, her body hurt like hell, her ribs made it impossible to breath, and her eyes stung from the massive amount of sobbing she had done.. but she was with Tyler so that made her just fine. As the nurse started messing with a machine that was hooked up to Tylers IV, a small panic sunk into her as she knew exactly what the machine did from her time in med school. Her eyes flicked over at Tyler as she could see his eyes start to get heavy. "I'm not leaving, don't worry" She whispered to him softly, her one good arm reaching over from the chair and gently laid onto his arm so that he knew she was there still. As Tyler whispered her name before passing out from the painkillers, her heart felt like it got jabbed. It hurt to see him slightly distraught at the thought of her even not being in the same room so she was not about to let him be upset by that. Even if she couldn't be a mind reader or a great comforter when he was deep in his own thoughts, she could at least stay put for him so that way he wasn't going to panic once he woke up. "When he wakes up again and I'm not here, his blood pressure is going to go through the roof... So don't try to even wheel me out.." She went back to her low tone, as that was the only tone her hoarse voice really allowed her to speak in, but if she could sound harsh than that's exactly how she would've given it to the nurse. With that, the nurse sort of scrunched her nose up slightly at the snippiness before giving a curt nod. "Okay sweetheart.. I'll try to get the room here soon, that way you can be resting as well" The nurse spoke sort of passive-aggressively before making her way out of the room. Andi tracked her once more as she left before her eyes went back to Tyler, looking over him with a soft gaze as she just watched for his chest to rise and fall. Making sure that his breaths stayed even and weren't abnormal or panicky was going to be the only thing keeping her out of her own head at the moment.

Tyler drifted in the Abyss of unconsciousness, knowing nothing and yet knowing everything. He could still feel the cold tickling the corner of his mind, eagerly beckoning him in. It wanted so badly to pull him into its clutches, but he felt like he couldn't go for whatever reason. Hours later, his fingers twitched slightly, breathing quickening a little as his eyes fluttered open. They closed as bright light streamed in, but opened again afterwards, narrowed yet there. A low raspy cough completely awoke him, jarring his chest and causing his vision to go blurry for a moment. He groaned quietly, everything aching again, and slowly, ever so slowly, turned his head. There he saw Andi, in her own bed now, still awake even though she really should be resting. Relief coursed through him just as soon as concern did. "You're here." He murmured, more to convince himself everything was fine than a real fact. Though it was a fact. She was there. He wasn't imagining her. His now human body felt like it was simultaneously on fire and frozen, broken and bruised and battered. He let his eyes close for a long moment, breathing out a slow sigh. Oh how he wished he was okay right now so he could comfort her. No, wait- he wished she was okay so he didn't have to comfort her. That'd be fine. He'd be happy with that. He had horribly failed at his job to protect her, so now he needed to help her emotionally. He could do that, right? The angels couldn't take away his personality. They could dampen it, though, cause gosh. This was a wee bit grueling and cruel. He opened his eyes again and let a weak smile spread across his face. "I'm glad you're here." He mused lowly, letting out a quiet sigh. He wanted to fall back asleep. Wait, no he didn't. Then he couldn't make sure she was there. He wanted to stay away. No more letting the nurse put him to sleep. Tyler lifted his hand and rubbed his temple slowly, wincing. Oh, the throbbing headache. How delightful. He was going to get out if he soon, one way or another. He could heal at home. No way in hell was he staying here. Then again, was his home safe? On that note... was here safe? No where seemed safe. With that thought in mind, he shifted, winced in horrid pain, and turned to look at her. "Are you okay? How are you feeling?" Worry marred his quiet, slightly raspy tone. The only thought that could override most he was having was anything about her. Mostly concern about her well being, at the moment. It was at that second that he remembered... they took his wings. The angels did. Fully human people didn't have wings. Depression literally hit him like a stack of bricks, but he focused on her.

As time went on, doctors and nurses would sneak quick glances in the room just to check on them both. Andi was pretty sure it was also to make sure she hadn't gone up on another determiend walk but she couldn't really prove that thought. About an hour or more later a nurse finally walked in and shared the news that their conjoined room was ready. First, they wheeled out Tyler along with some of his machines very carefully. Then, they brought in a stretcher for her, carefully helping her onto it and transferring her over to the other room where they already had a bed set up for her. They helped her get settled down into the bed, changing her IV drips and prescribing more painkillers for her. Andi really cound't focus that much on what the doctors were saying about her healing process as her eyes would occassionally flick over at Tyler. +Inhale... exhale... inhale... exhale...+ She replayed in her mind as she watched his chest rise and fall. Once, the room had settled down and the nurses plus doctors had finally left her alone, she truly was now just alone with her thoughts. Andi looked over Tyler once again before letting herself sink back into bed, Jasper being closely tucked up beside her. The thoughts slowly started to come and consume her mind, she replayed a lot of what went down that morning and truly there was a huge part of her that blamed herself for everything. If she hadn't gone to the store that day, she wouldn't have been driving... If she reacted faster there wouldn't have been a reck... Tyler and her wouldn't be there... Tyler would still be an Angel and have his wings... But no that's not what happened.. Her dimmly lit eyes just raced around the room as she spriled into her thinking, after what seemed like minutes but truly was more hours, she heard a cough ring through the room. Her eyes darted over to Tyler, seeing his eyes flicker open slightly as he adjsuted to the bright lights. When he murmured, a slight smile pulled at the edge of her lips "Yes.. I'm here" She whispered back to him, jsut watching as he obviously was still groggy from passing out. She was happy that he was back awake, right now it kept her mind off of the thoughts that wanted to drive her off the edge at the moment. As Tyler sort of gathered himself up and asked her another question, she took a deep breath to think "I'm doing just fine... the painkillers are working..." That was the truth for her psychially, as long as she really didn't move much the painkillers worked like a charm and kept everything from screamign and throbbing. As for mentally though, she was about ready to nosedive off of a paltform with her thoughts just circaling a drain endlessly. "How are you feeling?... Did resting make you feel any better?" Andi asked, keeping her voice quiet as it was clear that Tyler's head was hurting and she really didn't want to make anything worse for him right now.

Tyler blinked slowly, forcing his eyes to clear as he pushed himself up with a hiss of pain. Slowly, he rested his back against the headboard, slightly turned towards her, before watching her carefully. He was studying for signs of pain, for unhappiness, fear, anything. "The painkillers are working." He repeated quietly. No, he knew her better than that. Even without powers to tell if she was lying or not, or what she meant, he could tell. "Mentally. Tell me how you are doing mentally, and emotionally. And what I can do to help." He stated quietly, tone soft yet firm. All his focus had been drawn away from his injuries and directed towards her at this point. At her question, he paused for a couple moments, then sighed again. "I still feel around how you'd expect. But as I said... don't worry about me. Please. I'm alive, at very least, and happy that you're okay." He mused quietly. Well, mostly okay. She was physically okay-ish, but he wasn't confident in her mental state. He was rather concerned, on the contrary, that she was letting herself spiral like he had. His mind felt fuzzy, but one thought was clear. He had told Andi he loved her... and she had said it back. A warm glow tickled his chest, dampening the pain slightly. A small smile radiated across his face and he turned back to look at her. His eyes lit up slightly, the blue visible, and he practically beamed at her. "Yep. Everything will be fine." He said it in such a convincing way, feeling like the pain was barely there. Thinking about it now, he was in great pain, but it didn't even matter. Things would be fine.
