Dakota had never felt such pain, her breathing short and in gasps now as a sweat broke. "Alright, we're gonna have you push in 1...2...3!" The doctor said, Dakota trying her hardest and crying out once in pain.

Dakota fought to push, and fought hard, until she heard a distant newborn cry. She sighed shakily, laying her head back against the bed and breathing shakily. She lifted her head and was handed their son, Dakota smiling and tears beginning to form as she glanced at Nate.

Dakota was exhausted, tired, about to fall asleep, and in pain all at the same time. But it was worth it. She'd do it for eternity to have their beautiful Hunter in her arms. She looked back down at their son, grinning as the nurses let the family have some space

"He's so perfect..." Dakota whispered. After a bit, she silently offered Hunter to Nate

Dakota kissed Nate's cheek and leaned her head on his shoulder. She was exhausted and had a dull pain still but it was worth it
