"You're a very good liar" Maverivk said dropping the topic and Jhon rolled his eyes "wow complementing a girl now!? You must be in love~" Jhon said sarcastically but Mav looked down quickly and coughed,his friend looked surprised "oh..i see.." he said pumping his eyebrows at Mav who shoved him "watch it Jhon or ill put you through another table!" "Oh if like to see you try twig boy!" "Watch me short ass!" And then the fighting started again,it was obviously just for fun but after a few seconds Mav had Jhon on the ground with his arm twisted up behind his back,his friend struggled to get free "okay okay! I tap!" They laughed after that and Maverick helped his friend up appologisizing to the two girls before they started to walk off

Once out of earshot Jhon raised an eyebrow "whyd you react like that?" "Dont like it when people assume stuff" he replied simply

Makena frowned a bit, her head low, "Why, thank you!" She quickly shot back, straightening her posture. "Who said being a good liar was a compliment?" She added, helping out Maverick a bit before they started fighting. Watching, Kenzie and Makena exchanged glances before the boys apologized and walked off the other direction.

Kenzie started blabbing once the boys were out of earshot. "He's totally into you! And your into him!" She practically hollered into Makena's ear. "OMG! Stop! I'm NOT into him, and he's NOT into me!" Makena snapped, her eyes narrowed. She had to admit, Maverick was pretty kind, and her type-ish, but no. If Travis heard of her being "into another boy", he would flip, and strangle Maverick. Literally.

Jhon was being a bit of a nuiscance but they had different classes now,they said goodbye and Maverick walked off to swiming,he always got there early so he could change in peace,he didn't want people seeing his bare skin in any way,so he wore a swimming shirt in addition to the shorts,it made him more comfortable and the coaches knew why so they didn't stop him,he was now waiting for the rest of the people to get there

Maverick started thinking i dont like anyone,its pointless and it ends badly nine times out of ten he sighed and winced then why the hell did you help her? because you want her to trust you..? no because it was right! but if she starts to trust me thats an added bonus

Makena sighed and gave Kenzie a hug before she walked off to her next class. Swimming.

She walked into the girls changing room, and got changed into her two piece swimsuit. Being at a school, the girls were required to wear shorts over there swimsuit at all times. None of the girls liked it, but they had to do it, and no one ever brought it up to the teachers, so who cares.

Mav noticed Makena but didn't focus on her too much,most of his attention was on the water,it was clear and he assumed pleasantly cold,he just hoped none of the idiots would try any shit with him again like pushing his head under or trying to rip of the shirt,youd be surprised to what lengths people would go to just for a few laughs and the sheer humiliation of other people,he however wouldn't be able to handle it if his class mates found out what he was actually hiding..

Makena sat on the cold metal benches beside the pool, waiting for more people to show up. After awhile, more and more people started to show up, and then the instructor came into the room. Their instructor wasn't exactly what you call a skinny guy, more like about medium to big size. But, besides his size, he was a rather nice guy, and let us play around at the end, including pushing each other in the pool, and rough housing. Normally, Makena would just play volleyball with some of her other friends in the class, but she didn't feel like it today. The instructor told them to line the edges of the pool, and one by one, they would do their best dive, and strokes.

Mav didn't recognize this instructor and his mind was litterally just filled with the words oh shit oh shit oh shit im dead he usually had another swiming coach that let him wear the shirt because he wasn't usually with this class and like he had expected,the man walked up and raised an eyebrow at Mav "you aren't in uniform" "i know sir but im not comgortable showing my bare skin.." "there's no need to be self concious,no one will judge you i promise,the kids in this class are mostly very nice and im sure no one will care even" "yes but sir i-" "no buts Maverick,off with it" "Please sir dont make me" "im sorry but the rules here are you need to be in uniform to swim" Mav felt a pit in his stomach what now? he couldn't just give up on swimming it was the only thing that really worked to calm hom down or clear his head,singing worked bu his life wasnt a musical and he couldnt just burst into song whenever he felt like it so..he,very reluctantly he pulled off the swiming shirt and the coach regretted making him reveal what was beneath the fabric when he turned around,all across his back there were scars...from lashings of a belt with a sharp metal buckle,some of them were still new...Mav was having a panick attack so without waiting for the word he dived into the water,pretty well as he was a good swimmer and backstroked to the other end of the water where he stayed against the wall refusing to move again
