(Yeah, we can do that! It'd be nice to see Sage get something good from the queen for one too lol) Mari sighed after a few moments, knowing he was right. But it was still scary... and she didn't want to get all the way to the end of this pregnancy just for things to go wrong. It break her... and she knew it was destroy Sage, too. She just wanted to do everything right, for all of them. She leaned into the boy a tiny bit more... though they should probably get off the ward floor sooner or later. She knew the doctor would be looking out for her... well, he'd be looking out for Sage, because he knew that if something happened not either her or the child he might lose himself again. She didn't want that, not at all. "I know," she eventually whispered with a soft sigh.

(Yeah lol. She still hasn't decided to thank him for even saving her life xDD. You can skip forward to them coming back whenever) Sage sat with the girl for a little bit while before sighing and leaning back a little bit. "Why don't you try and take a nap? Or at least rest a little bit," he suggested. "You finished most of your work, and I can finish the last few minutes of stuff and meet you back in our room," he hummed. The doctor would be fine with it, he knew, and she really did need the rest. And the peace and quiet.

(Lol I've had everyone say she was thankful for him but the queen herself xD I need to make her grateful lol) Mari shook her head a little bit at the boy before sighing. He was right, she should rest... but she'd already slept so much. Granted, she was exhausted all the time now, but she was sure with time that would get better. Hopefully, it'd get better. She should rest, though, even if it wasn't sleep. "I suppose I should try," she whispered before pressing a soft kiss to his collar. She still hated that he did her work for her while she was like this... but half an hour or so couldn't hurt, would it? He wouldn't resent her for it? She didn't know. All she knew was that she was in pain and she needed to just relax a little bit. Make some more of that tea and grab a hot water bottle for her stomach, which was becoming increasingly achier and achier. She just needs to rest. "Fine," she sighed softly. "Don't be long," she asked before pressing a soft kiss to his collar. It'd probably be good for him to spend some time with the doctor for now, too... he hadn't spoken to his 'father' about this yet. Not about her... be one needed someone to talk to, just to vent to... this was hard of him too. She pretend not to notice... but she could see how worn he was. It was all over his face and demeanour, and the thought of herself being the one to make him feel like that... it made her heartache. He needed to talk to someone. She got up and used the wall to help her get to her room, but once she was there she found herself deciding between the bed and the shower. She eventually went for the shower... she felt disgusting, which meant she probably was, and she'd been in the ward all morning anyway. She stood there for a little while, just staring at her stomach. You wouldn't have been able to tell she was pregnant just yet, other than the vomiting and migraines, but the fact there was something... a little person, who was a part of her and the man she loved so much... that thought seemed to make her a tiny bit perkier.

Sage nodded, letting out a relieved sigh when the girl agreed to go rest for a bit. "I'll be there soon," he hummed lightly in response to the girl's comment and released her so she could get up. He helped her rise and then squeezed her hand before letting her go. He watched her start off to make sure she was alright before turning to finish the work quick with a sigh. He was still really tired, but knowing he was doing something to help made it better, it really did. Eventually, he wandered back to the room, poking his head into the bathroom to check and make sure Mari was alright. When he saw her just standing there, he chuckled slightly, his brain too foggy to understand what she was doing. "Having fun," he hummed lightly, trying to understand what the he knew was doing without letting on exactly how exhausted he was.

Mari jumped a little bit when the boy poked his head through, but gave a sheepish smile. The water was running lightly over her shoulders, and the sides of the shower were all fogged up, so she poked her head out to see him with a soft smile, the water clearly making her feel just a bit better... it was nice on her skin, gentle. "Hmm... I'm not doing much," she mused quietly before shaking her head a tiny bit. "It'd be more fun if you joined me, though," she purred softly... yes, she still didn't feel amazing, and her head was the tiniest bit achy... but she could afford to give the boy some affection after he'd done half of her shift for her. He deserved that much. She hid back behind the foggy shower and turned her back to him as she went to wash her hair, really just enjoying doing something for herself for the first time in a while.

Sage couldn't help the light blush that covered his face at the girl's comment, though he chuckled and slid into the room, closing the door behind him. "I suppose I could use a decent bath," he hummed in a rather amused voice, sort of acting like he was looking forward to the bath rather than spending time with Mari. She knew he loved her though, so it would be fine. He undressed quickly and slid into the shower next to her, and admittedly the water felt good. He hadn't noticed how tense his shoulders had been, but theyd been incredibly tense, and he rubbed the back of his neck with a slight wince and angled himself so the warm water ran over the sore muscles. He normally wasn't keen on showering, and he was exhausted, but it did feel nice.

Mari couldn't help her slight smile when the boy agreed. She knew he was tired too... so she supposed that it would be nice to get a shower before flopping back in bed the way they had for the last few days. Mari gave the boy a bit of a smile when he stepped in next to her, but couldn't help the frown that crossed her face when the boy winced. She pouted and ran hand her hands up his chest and onto his shoulders with a small sigh before meeting his eyes with furrowed brows. "Tense?" She asked softly when her hands started to feel about his shoulders... she could feel small knots in the top of his back, and he seemed tense in himself.

Sage hummed slightly at the girl's question, a light blush crossing his face when the girl ran her hands up his chest, though her hands rubbing the sore muscles felt much better than he'd expected. He face twisted slightly and he leaned into her hands a bit before catching himself...he didn't wasn't to ask the girl to keep doing that, or rub the knots out...she was tired too, and he'd feel bad about making her do something like that while he lay there and git loved on. "A bit," he admitted. "I'll be alright," he hummed, really just not wanting to bother the girl. He gave her a light smile, trying to not seem so tired.

Mari hummed softly to the boy when he leaned into her hands, a slight smile crossing her face. "Did you like that?" she mused softly to the boy before stepping a little bit closer so that she could reach around a little bit further around his back. She knew he wouldn't have wanted for her to have done the likes of this for him... but Sage did deserve a bit of love too. He'd done so much for her, the least she could do was something a little bit nice for him. And she might as well do that while she was feeling a tiny bit better, right? She felt her heart ache for him when he tried to give her a smile. He was clearly tired.

Sage hummed and shrugged slightly, not really wanting to agree that yes, he'd liked it and yes, he wanted more of it, because then the girl would do more of it and he'd feel bad about it. But, as the girl reached for more he couldn't help the hitch of breath....it did feel really, really good. He just didn't want to bother the girl. He sort of dropped his head on the girls shoulder with a kind of apologetic murmur. She was tired too, and didn't need him wanting a shoulder rub.
