Mari hummed to the boy, and just let him help... if he wanted to, then he could, and it made her job a little bit easier. She just enjoyed being with him, and he seemed to bouncy, like a child so he really must have been happy to see his friends... it was definitely nice to see. She didn't see him like this often, so all she could do was smile at the sight, certainly happy to see him the way he was. "Fine... though, there's not much. I need to unpack for the queen and I take it you'll want to go and catch up," Mari told him softly. She didn't mind. She just wanted him to be happy, and this was going to be boring for her, so she took it that it would be boring for an excited Sage.

Anya couldn't help but notice the boys bouncy demeanour. She couldn't remember the last time she'd seen him the way he was, but she was just as happy to see him at all. The castle had been fixed pretty fast, and she'd expected to be away longer than they were, but she was glad that it hadn't. It wasn't awkward or anything, but she did take note of his softer look towards the other girl, but didn't think a whole lot of it. She nodded when he asked if she'd had a good time... she really had. It was a nice little place. "I did - we all did. It wasn't so stressful being away from all of the crazy villagers," she mused before shaking her head. She did want to tell him everything... because it had been a good time. "I do need to talk to him," she chirped lightly. "I got your letter - you must be thrilled about the adoption," she told him with a bit of a hum. "It has been a long time coming, though."

Sage was glad that Mari had let him continue to help carry some of the suitcases she'd had. He gave her a grin and nodded. "Yeah, and I doubt the queen wants me unpacking her stuff," he chuckled. "You can do that part by yourself. Just don't overdo it," he hummed lightly. He wanted to catch up, of course, but the time it took Mari to unpack was a decent amount of time...he could show Anya Mystery and all the rest, it wouldn't take all that long.

He gave Anya a grin when she mentioned her time at the vacation home. "It sounded like a nice place," he hummed lightly. "I'm glad it was nice," he chirped. Then he nodded and grinned. "I think we were both very happy about it all," he admitted. "And it is nice having someone I can call family," he mused. "Though, all of you are family at this point too," he chirped, gesturing to all of the people surrounding him. They all were...his child was obviously family, and Mari was carrying his child...and Att was basically his, and Anya was, well...she was like another sister to him. By then, they'd arrived to the queen's room, so Sage set the suitcase down and gave Mari a peck on the lips before grabbing Anya's wrist and practically bouncing out the door, chirping "We'll be at the barn if you need us," to Mari. Att had ran along behind him, Amber following along next to the young boy happily.

Mari hummed softly to the boy before shaking her head... she wouldn't over do anything by just unpacking. And, well, she had people helping. She sighed before emptying the bags Sage had helped her carry up before getting started. She did want to tell the queen their news with the baby... but it could wait a day or two. She was probably a little bit stressed out with the move back, and right now another one of her maids need proably wasn't what she wanted, or needed. She could tell her the next day, while she was sorting her hair or something like that. She smiled when the boy said they'd be at the barn and shoed the two of them off. They needed to catch up a little bit, and she was sure Sage would be excited to show the girl everything.
Anya gave a half kind of wave when they wandered off. "It was very nice... you need to come and see it at some point. Att liked it too, didn't you?" She asked the boy with a bit of a smile. She couldn't help her bit of a smile when he said they were all like family... it was certainly nice to hear. She looked around when they got out to the barn with a bit of a smile. "Where's this foal you're so excited about?"

Sage gave Anya a grin and a shrug. "Might be nice," he hummed. "Though, Mari would have to come with," he admitted. "Especially if it's after the baby's born," he mused lightly before whirling back to Anya, eyes wide. "Wait, I didn't tell you that in the letter," he squeaked, now very excited to tell Anya he'd have a child, and with Mari no less. Hopefully, she'd be just as happy as he and Mari were...he certainly didn't want the girl to get upset by that. He pointed to Mystery, who'd popped her head out from the stall he'd led them to. "That's mystery," he hummed lightly. "She's sweet, and I love her, and she's not even a person! Though, neither is Amber and she's still kinda my baby," he babbled. He really was excited for a human child of his own though, and he figured that was pretty obvious. Anya knew him pretty darn well, too, so no doubt she could tell how happy he was about it. Att had said hello to the foal and was off trying to catch mice with Amber by then, running around the hay bales happily.

Anya hummed softly to the boy before shrugging. She didn't mind... whenever things got too much she could send him off to the manor for a few days, and it might give him a bit of a break from... everything. She didn't particularly care if he took someone with him... that was until she heard that he was, well, having a baby. She just kind of started at him... and, yes, didn't think it was... smart for him to have a child with someone he hadn't known for very long. She knew Sage, and when he got attracted he got... very attached. She just started thinking of everything wrong that could happen for the boy, but he just seemed... thrilled. He'd told her years ago that all he wanted was a family... and it he was finally getting that. "No... you didn't mention that in your letter... you must be thrilled," she hummed to the boy with a bit of a smile, thought it was a hesitant one. When she looked over the stable door to see the goal, her gave lit up. "Oh, she's just perfect!" She told the boy with a bit of a chuckle before leaning over the door to scratch the foals withers.

Sages enthusiasm about his own child dampened slightly when he noticed the girl didn't seem overly thrilled with the idea of him having a baby. So, he focused on mystery, who's lip was wriggling at Anyas scratch. He hummed lightly and nodded happily. "She's a sweetheart," he chirped. "Though, she'd better be cause I had to pull her out and that wasn't the most pleasant thing I've ever done," he noted with amusement, reaching over to pet the foal himself. He did wish that Anya had been a bit happier about his own child, but he did see a million reasons why she wouldn't think it was the best thing to happen. He just hoped the queen would take it well. And ....he hoped Anya would get over it and be happy, and soon. He didn't get excited about too much, but he did love Mari, a lot, and he was more excited for their baby then he could ever convey.

Anya nodded in agreement before looking over to the boy. "I bet that was exciting - you love these horses. Must have been an experience," she told him with a bit of a chuckle, a little bit amused with the idea of Sage playing vet for the horses. She supposed he'd been doing that for a while now... looking after the horses and taking care of them. "She's very sweet," she agreed with the boy before looking over at Att, who was running around with the kitten, trying to grab mice with the thing. "So is the cat... Amber? It's a nice thing for the doctor to have done for you. I'm surprised we didn't think of it sooner," she then added with a bit of a chuckle. "How is the old man? I bed he's excited with the prospect of having a grand child of sorts."

Sage chuckled lightly and nodded. "It was definitely an experience," he hummed in a rather amused voice. "Though I don't recall it being a pleasant one. Nothing like having my arm buried up to the shoulder in Snowball over here," he noted, patting the mare gently. Mystery turned her head towards him and nudged him arm, as if demanding the attention he was giving her dam. He chuckled and patted the filly before noticing amber head butting his leg. He reached down to scoop the kitten up, cradling her close to his chest. "She's amazing," he gushed. "she's actually helped quite a bit," he admitted sheepishly. "There's been a couple of times where I went to scratch and she nudged my hand away and I could pet her instead of hurt myself," he hummed, looking down at the cat, his adoration obvious. "Oh, he's as cranky as ever," he chuckled. "But he did seem pleased as far as I know ...I wasn't there when he figured out Mari was pregnant," he admitted.

Anya chuckled a little bit before looking over to what seemed like a very unimpressed mare. "I don't think it would have been a very pleasant experience for her either," she told him, rolling her eyes ever so slightly. "It's nice to see the foals appearing, though... before spring," she hummed lightly with a pleased smile. The sky had started to go a shade of orange as the evening had started to set in, and it was pretty. She couldn't help her small smile when he said that the cat had helped when he'd tried to hurt himself... that was her biggest feat when she'd gone away. She just didn't want to leave and come back to Sage in a worse state than when they'd left. She nodded and looked at the little animal with a bit of a smile. "Well, she's good then. Doing my job for me," she chuckled in a teasing manner. "And she's adorable," she hummed in a kind of baby voice when he picked the kitten up. She then looked to Sage with furrowed brows. "You haven't hurt yourself, though, have you?" She asked quietly so that little Att couldn't hear. He seemed happier than she'd ever seen him, though... so she hoped everything was well. She then cocked her head at him with a half-kind of shocked look. "Have you not spoken to him?" She asked with a bit of a chuckle. "And I kind of feel like that was something you should have been there for," she mused lightly.

Sage chuckled slightly and shrugged. "I would think not. Can't say I'm not happy it's not be giving birth," he noted, rather amused at the thought. A small chuckle came from his mouth when Anya said the cat was doing her job for her and shrugged. "Only...only a few times, on really bad nights. But I had Amber, and Mari and the doctor so not much happened." He shrugged slightly and huffed out a breath. "The doctor had taken to just sedating me after a certain point one of those times," he admitted. He wrinkled his nose at her next comment though, and shrugged. "It was a rare nice day, and I had to bargain that I'd go have fun outside if Mari went to the doctor. She'd had nausea and bad migraines, so I had to force her down there," he chuckled in a fond manner. "So no, I wasn't there, though she told me right away." He shrugged again. "The doctor and I have both been a bit busy, and I've been wearing myself thin. Today's the first day Mari's been alright in a while."
