Mari couldn't help her slight frown at the boy at his last comment. Did he feel like he had to do all of that? She didn't want him to do that. She could deal with the pain to some extent... it wasn't up to him to take it all away. She shook her head, unable to help her soft chuckle. "If you didn't sit with me I'd probably end up crying for hours - and to be honest, being sick as much as I get is scary, too... and you still sit with me, even though it is disgusting," Mari chuckled before shaking her head. "You brought me soup yesterday when you thought I needed to eat - and you're looking after me. It's not up to you to take the pain away or stop the nausea... I don't need you to do that. I need you to do exactly what you're doing now," she told him softly before pressing a slightly deeper kiss to his lips. "I feel safe with you... and I've never felt so much love in my life. You're doing more than enough," she promised gently.

Sage hummed lightly at the girl's comment, though the burning in his chest was odd ...it made him feel like he should be crying, but not in a bad way, he didn't think. He smiled softly at the girl, then it widened when she kissed him and he nodded softly. "I needed to hear that," he murmured quietly, resting his head against her shoulder again happily. After a while longer of laying there, he sighed and untangled himself from the girl. "we only have like half an hour," he sighed. "We really should get going."

Mari gave a small nod to the boy, knowing they did have to get going at some point. She didn't want to, but they had to. She smiled when the boy said he needed that... "Well it's all true," she told him softly. She didn't want him to feel like he wasn't doing enough... or like she didn't appreciate him. Because she did, and she really couldn't love him any more if she tried. She pressed a soft kiss to the top of his head before curling into his side. She just wanted him to be happy... because he did mean the world to her, he really did. She groaned when he said they had to get going before nodding and crawling out of bed. She sighed when the cold air hit her, and wandered off to grab something warmer to get changed into before looking back to Sage. "You must be so excited to see Att - and Anya for that matter," she told him with a bit of a smile

Sage hummed lightly and nodded, giving the girl a thankful glance. That did make him feel a bit better....he wanted to help her as much as he could, and at least he knew he was doing something right. He shivered slightly when the cold hit him, though he soon grew used to it and stretched before scooping up Amber, who had started rubbing her head against his legs and meowing loudly. He smiled and nodded at the thought of his friends coming back. "I've missed them," he murmured. "Anya been such a big part of my life, and I practically raised Att when he was first here as a baby " he shrugged then and gave the girl a rather flirty grin. "But you're still special," he giggled.

Mari gave the boy a bit of a smile when he said he'd missed them... it was a good thing. It meant he had more people than her, and that was good for him. She could only hope he'd make more friends as time went on... it'd be nice for him to have a group of guys he could go out and do things with. "I bet you have... you spent a lot of time with them," she hummed with a bit of a smile. "They're important to you," they were, and that was alright... she wasn't exactly the type to get super jealous, and Att was like a son to him. The doctor had told her countless stories of how the other girl looked after him, and she was glad for her... mainly because he wouldn't have been here with her now if it wasn't for the princess. But, just because she didn't get super jealous, didn't mean she couldn't be a little bit... and, well, she was a little bit jealous, but it was just because of the time he and the other girl had spent together... she knew nothing would happen now, and she did trust Sage a hell of a lot, so he didn't need to make his comment... but she couldn't help but smile at his flirty little grin. "Oh, I'm special, am I?" She purred in response with a chuckle. "I'm not sure I believe you," she teased lightly Edited at March 14, 2023 12:19 PM by Belle

Sage hummed and nodded, eyes bright. "I am glad they're coming back," he hummed. "I want you and Anya to get along so we can all do stuff together," he chirped. "And Att can be like a big brother to our kid," he said excitedly. He was imagining a wild fantasy, but it did have the potential to all come true. He chuckled lightly to the girl and raised an eyebrow. "Really," he hummed. "And how can I prove it to you," he asked, a light purr in his voice. The girl was pregnant, so he wasn't sure where this was going....but he could get a few kisses either way, he supposed.

Mari pouted thoughtfully after a moment before cocking her head. She had to admit, having another 'mum' her age to talk to would be nice - it wasn't the same, because Att wasn't really Anyas, but the girl had raised him... and she supposed that part would make them similar. But if it wasn't for her, it would be for Sage and their baby. She didn't know if she'd be able to have another child - of course, she'd love two, but it was not only to early to be thinking about that, but it might just not be possible. So if she could get along with Anya and have Att be a brother figure to her child... that would be amazing, and she was sure Sage would love that too, so they could all go out and do things together as he'd said. "We'll see... though, I have to say, that would be nice," she told him with a bit of a smile. She couldn't help her grin as she picked up on the purr in his voice. She was pregnant, obviously, but plenty could still happen... just nothing to... vigorous if that was how you wanted to put it. And, well, they didn't have long until they should leave, so they couldn't be a long time either. She hummed to the boy and sat down on the corner of the bed. "I'm not quite sure," she hummed with a bit of a smirk. "If I'm so special you should be able to think of something to prove it," she told him in a kind of challenging tone.

Sage huffed out a breath and crossed his arms, giving the girl a fake pout when she sat down. He could think of plenty of things to do ....he just didn't want to do anything to intense and hurt either her or the baby. He let his gaze run along the girl's body though, with exaggerated slowness before letting a smirk grow on his face. He slid over to the girl and pressed his lips to hers, pushing her back into the bed, something churning through his body. Why was he so excited to do this? Nothing much could happen, though he suddenly wished it could. He sort of rested his weight on arms, which he put on each side of the girls head and looked down at her with a smirk. "Good enough," he hummed.

Mari couldn't help her blush as she felt the boy's eyes run over her... she should be used to his every little look, every touch and feeling from the boy by now... but he still made her heart beat. Granted, she was much more sensitive now, with pretty much everything... but, admittedly, she wasn't too upset about being sensitive to the touch. To Sage's touch, no matter how light... it was all just electric. She squeaked when he pressed his lips to hers but was admittedly thrilled with the act. She kissed him back with a smile before letting her head flop back against the bed with a bit of a chuckle as she looked up at him. "Yeah... I suppose..." she huffed in a kind of passive tone, almost inviting him for a little bit more... they should get going, but they could mess around for a few more minutes, right?

Sage chuckled lightly at the girl's flush, and her chuckle and....he just suddenly was struck with how much he loved the girl. Tears almost seem to threaten him and his chest swelled and he couldn't help but kiss the girl again at her slight invitation, this time deeper than the last. He let his lips linger against hers before forcing himself up and lay down next to her, trying to distract himself. He couldn't do much more ...could he? And certainly not now, they only had about an hour. Ugh, he never thought this would all be so frustrating.
