Mari curled up with the boy after however long they'd been going on for, a grin still on her face as they sat there. She wasn't sure what had made that so good... maybe it was because she hadn't done anything like this in a good four or five weeks now, or maybe it was because she was sensitive, or maybe it was because she had Sage with her... maybe it was everything combined, but she could honestly care less. It had been a pretty good day, and she didn't want to be overthinking too much. But she was happy to be curled up with Sage, comfortably in his arms. "I love to so much," she purred tiredly as she rested her head on his shoulder, her hand running lightly along his neck. It was a bit cheesy, that she still had to say it straight, but she did mean it... and she didn't think she'd ever loved someone the way she loved him. She was just happy to rest for now, though... in the peace and quiet where she could get a good nights rest.

Sage gave the girl a sleepy hum and nestled into her happily, burying his nose in her hair so he could take in her sweet scent. "I love you too," he murmured. Even though he was still half asleep, he had enough brain power to answer her. Though, he allowed his eyes to close after he responded, wanting to just slip off to sleep peacefully. It had been a good day, a very good day, and he was exhausted. It was fun, but busy. And he still hadn't slept well for the last few weeks, so it was nice to sleep. Hopefully they could sleep in a bit tomorrow. He knew she had to work, but they could stay asleep for a while, right?

Mari smiled slightly at his tired comment before curling into him a little bit more and letting herself slip off to sleep... it was warm and peaceful, not only that but she was exhausted too, so it was pretty easy, to say the least. The next few weeks seemed to go quite quickly... it was calm and peaceful, and she wasn't getting so sick any more... which was, admittedly nice. She still had a few migraines, and food made her feel sick, but she wasn't actively throwing up anymore, which was a bit of a relief for everyone. Her work with the queen was pretty easy, so she supposed that made a bit of a difference to her as a whole. She still had to tell the woman about her pregnancy... to be honest, she'd been holding off because everyone just seemed stressed out, but it was calming down a little bit now... so in the next day or two she should have hopefully spoken to the woman.

Sage was more than happy to just go to sleep. He was out cold pretty much right away, and the next few days were just as peaceful. He wasn't sure if Mari had told the queen about her being pregnant or anything, but she'd tell her in her own time he supposed.

The doctor, however, wasnt waiting for anyone to talk to the queen. He marched up to her office after a few days had passed and things had kind of returned to normal. "I have doctor's reports," he hummed. He'd put Mari's in there, since he had to include everything, but he also had a note to let the girl tell her herself before mentioning it. He plopped down in a chair with a grunt and held the papers out. "Everyone's doing pretty fine. Though I do have a few favors to ask."

Mari just took things easy as she could over the next few days... still working, but just trying really quite hard not work until she made herself sick again, because it certainly would happen. She'd taken to giving Sage little surprises, though... little gadgets a and presents and alike, mainly because she still felt bad he'd worn himself out of her so much. Today, though, she just made up a little breakfast in bed before skipping over to her room where he was sleeping and pressed a light kiss to his forehead, where she kind of straddled his legs and placed the tray on his lap. "Mornin handsome," she whispered gently. She had to get to work, but she was already ready, and they had about half an hour to do... well, anything. She'd tried to make friends with Anya over the past few days, but she just didn't seem interested. It'd disappointed Mari a little bit... she knew he wanted them all to get along, but she was sure it'd happen in time. She hoped so, at least.

The queen had been... very busy with their return. There was lots to do, organising everyone and all the events of that season... she'd noticed one maid trying to talk to her, and normally she'd happily listen, but for now she was just... busy. She kind of groaned when the doctor came in, but offered her old friend a smile before taking the reports. "Good, good," she hummed as she flicked through the report, really just scanning through it. "What's this favour of yours?"

Sage stirred slightly when he felt the girl's kiss and his eyes sort of fluttered open at her voice, a soft smile flickering onto his face when he saw the girl sitting there. He hummed a still rather sleepy good morning to the girl, and stretched slightly before sitting up with a kind of yawn. His eyes landed on the tray in his lap and he chuckled lightly, leaning forward to peck the girl on the tip of the nose. "You spoil me," he hummed, though of course he was thankful for the girl's gifts. They'd really only made him think more of a proposal....he'd gone back and forth between thinking it could be too soon or not, but he didn't think that really mattered, not anymore. Now he just had to figure out how to get a ring and whatnot. And how he wanted to do it all...it really was quite terrifying to think of proposing too.

The doctor grunted in response to the queen. "I won't take much of your time, but I wanted to see if you'd let sage work down at the barn," he hummed. "As you well know, the boys under my care now...and he's been taking care of the entire barns area by himself while you're all gone." He shrugged slightly. "He won't ask for much pay...not that that's an issue for you I suppose. Also, the two horses he's rather fond of....that black stallion you don't really use and the foal he pulled out himself while you were away ...I'd like him to have them." He sat back and shrugged again. "The cat has seemed to help his mind settle, and he does love the horses,* he murmured rather fondly. "I know it's a lot to ask...but you do have an entire castle at your disposal, and the boy really has nothing besides the kitten." She could think about it, but it would be a nice surprise for the boy. "but, I want you to tell him yourself if you decide to do these things." The boy thought the queen hated him ....and he wished she could show him she didn't. That she was thankful for him helping her, saving her life.

Mari hummed softly to the boy when she saw his little smile before pecking his cheek again and flopping down next to him. "I do, and you deserve it," she hummed lightly to the boy before crossing her legs next to him. "I need to spoil you while I'm still well, too," she teased lightly, "and you spoil me plenty," she hummed lightly leaning back against the headboard with a soft sigh as she tried to get comfortable.

The woman shrugged slightly to the man when he asked if she'd let Sage work down at the barn. Well, she didn't see too much of an issue with that... to be honest, she wanted to do something for the boy... she knew she hadn't been exactly amazing to the boy in the past... and, well, she wanted to something nice for the boy. She still had to thank the boy for saving her life years ago, now that she thought about it. "He can work down the yard, of course," she hummed slightly before sighing. She didn't really want to give him a horse - they we're literally what made the world go around at this point. "He can have the stallion," she told him quietly. "And he can help out with the filly - back it if he stays that long - but we're going to need her in the a couple of years. He can have her for that long," she murmured after a few moments before picking up the papers the doctor had given her. She scowled after about looking through three of four notes. "What's this? About the maid?" She asked with pursed lips.

Sage chuckled slightly and nibbled at the food the girl had given him. He had to admit he was hungry...he'd made a point to try and eat more, and he had the last few days since Mari had been feeling better...but he still wasn't eating what he was probably supposed to. Or, hadn't been eating his usual, he supposed, since he didn't eat often. So he ate quickly, though it wasn't like he had the last time she'd made him breakfast. Once he was done, he flopped back down next to the girl, burying his nose in the crook of her neck, still really half asleep. He'd never been much of a morning person, he supposed.

The doctor grunted and nodded in response to the queen...her decision made sense, and he did understand that they'd need the filly once she could reproduce. But he could still care for her, and he'd have Chaos. "That's fine," he hummed in response. Then he grunted again and shrugged. "She came in a few weeks back complaining of nausea and migraines," he informed the woman. "It was a pretty open and closed case. But she's feeling better now, and she'll still be able to work fine." he crossed his arms and stared down his nose at the woman. He could do that...he'd been the doctor when the queen was still very very young. "Let her tell you about it though...I must say, she's quite excited about it all." After a moment he grunted again and stood up. "Well, I'll leave it all to you," he hummed. "Call the boy down when you get a moment, and be...friendly," he hummed. "No yelling or something's likely to happen you won't enjoy," he huffed, referring to the boy's...sensitivity to loud noises before sweeping out of the room, surprisingly fast for what his old legs seemed capable of.

Mari smiled slightly when she felt the boy bury into her neck, which was admittedly a little bit ticklish, but rested a hand on the back of his head and ran her fingers through his hair a couple of times. She pecked the side of his face before resting her head on top of his. "I need to get going soon," she whispered before flopping her head back a tiny bit and wrapping her arms around his side... she did have to go, but she just wanted to hold onto him a little bit... she'd definitely been a bit more needy with the boy recently, but she supposed that just came with pregnancy as a whole... her feelings were all a bit all over the place anyway. She just wanted to get back to normal, but that would be another few months left.

The queen nodded lightly to the man before shaking her head. "That's alright," she hummed to the man, "as long as she's all good to work," she told the man. She particularly care if her maids got ill... but she couldn't have herself being sick, so they'd have to sit out for a while. She couldn't quite wrap her head around why you'd be exited for being ill, though... she'd just have to hear it from the girl whenever she decided to tell her, she didn't really care until then. "I'll send someone through for him later on today... I'm sure he'll be thrilled about it all," she told him, giving a slight wave to the man as he turned to leave before getting back to work.

Sage grunted and nodded in response to the girl's comment, but buried into her more with a grin when she wrapped her arms around him. "You have eleven minutes left," he hummed lightly. Sleepily, really. He blushed after that....he hadn't really meant to let the girl know he quite literally counted every minute he had with her, but even if she figured that out he didn't suppose it much mattered.

The doctor grunted in agreement and wandered back to his ward, pretty pleased with how the conversation had gone. He found himself thankful he could be pretty outright with the queen since he was there when she was younger. He went back to his ward and curled up in his office. He'd take a short nap to appease his old bones and then he had some more rounds to do.
