Sage chuckled lightly and nodded happily. "Itll have a good life," he hummed happily. "It certainly won't ever go wanting." He chuckled lightly and nodded in response to her comment about the doctor. "Oh, it's all he talks about. Especially since there's no other patients in there right now." He nodded happily and felt his grin widening. "We both do. It's so close and so far, and holding it will feel like holding the world," he practically squealed. "It'll be small but strong," he hummed.

Mari smiled at the boy and nodded happily. "I hope so," she chirped. "I want to give it everything," she hummed, knowing that she couldn't possibly do that... but she could try to give the little fellow everything it wanted. She smiled when he spoke of the doctor... she'd gotten pretty close to the old man over the last few weeks, but that was mainly because he was pretty much running around after her now. But she didn't mind... it just meant the baby would have a caring grandfather figure. "I actually need to go and see him for a checkup later," she groaned with a soft sigh. "It really will," she hummed happily to the boy, "I really hope so... though if it takes after you then it'll be strong enough, I'm sure," she hummed happily.

Sage hummed and nodded lightly. "It'll have a good life. It doesn't need to be spoiled rotten to be happy," he murmured. He chuckled lightly when she mentioned having a checkup later and hummed with a nod. "He's quite happy about it all. And I think he wants to be right there to help when the baby decides it wants out," he chuckled. The old man would spoil the baby, he knew that, and he'd spoil them a bit too...but that was alright. He felt a grin form on his face at the girl's last comment and shrugged. "well, it's mom is pretty darn strong too," he hummed. "It's not just me." Besides, he certainly didn't feel very strong most of the time. A lot of the time he felt rather pathetic. But if Mari thought he was strong enough then he just had to trust her.

Mari chuckled to the boy before pouting thoughtfully. "It'll still be spoilt rotten... if not from us then from the doctor and my mother... I'd imagine Anthony would spoil it too," she hummed happily. She knew Sage was... cautious of her brother, but he was a good guy, really... and he would love this child too. He'd be a good uncle, she was sure. She smiled lightly at the boy when he mentioned the doctor again. "I do trust him... he's a bit giddy about it all," she hummed happily before tugging his shirt gently. "Will you come with me for this one?" She asked with a cocked head. He hadn't really been to the doctor with her... but she did want the boy to come along. She then smiled lightly at the boy. "Yeah, but I can't be upset if it takes after you... you're a lot stronger than I could ever be," she murmured lightly to him before pecking his head softly.

Sage chuckled lightly and nodded. "It's got a good family," he hummed. He chuckled in response to her comment about the doctor and then nodded with a hum when she asked him to come along for this visit. "Sure," he hummed. "I finished working for the day so I may as well," he chuckled lightly. She was, of course, his most important priority, so he could joke about a little bit. He hummed lightly and shrugged in response to the girl's comment, a blush growing on his face. "I don't know about that," he hummed. "You're about to push out an entire human being," he chuckled.

Mari rolled her eyes at the boy before chuckling. "Yeah, as long as you've finished your work," she mused before shaking her head a little bit, clearly a little bit amused... of course, if he was working and had things to do she wouldn't expect him to come along, but she did think listening to the babies heartbeat through the stethoscope would be something he would want to listen to... it was pretty sweet. She smiled when she saw his face heat up a little bit and gave him a small squeeze before grabbing another bite of a sandwich. "I am about to do that, it's true," she mused before shaking her head. "We're strong in different ways, though... you can't really use a baby as a measure - I'm built to carry a baby, you, however, are not," she chuckled gently.

Sage chuckled lightly and gave the girl a grin before shrugging. "Yeah, well, it still takes some guts to do," he chuckled lightly, shifting a bit to nestle into the girl a bit more. "When are you thinking of going down to the ward? We could stop by once we put all this away if you'd like, and then have the rest of the day free," he suggested with a slight chirp to his voice. He should go with her anyway, especially since she'd be going into labor so soon....he should know what all was going on and everything.

Mari smiled when she felt him shuffle into her a little bit more, and wrapped her arms around him happily. "I suppose... I have to admit, I'm getting more and more scared about slll this as time goes on. It's gonna hurt like a bitch," she murmured, a slight chuckle escaping her. It would hurt... and she was still mentally preparing herself for that. But it would be worth it, hopefully. She hummed in thought at his next question before shrugging. "We can do that," she hummed happily. "Though, once we've been, we might have to just go sit somewhere. I can't stay of my feet for too long now," she told him with a soft sigh.

Sage chuckled and nodded. "Well, you're built for it, not me," he chirped in a kind of joking/teasing way. "You'll be alright though. I mean, the doctor will drug you up so it isn't quite so bad," he hummed lightly. He nodded once the girl had agreed and asked to just go sit somewhere. "That's fine with me. A day of rest wouldn't be bad before the baby comes," he hummed lightly. After a bit longer, he reached over to start cleaning up the basket and blanket and all that, before helping the girl up. "Ready," he hummed.

Mari nodded when he asked if they were ready, and linked arms with him, kind of leaning on him the tiniest of bits. They got to the kitchen fairly quickly, though, and she managed to help him clear up a little bit before they made their way towards the ward. "The doctor can hear the heartbeat through a stethoscope... I got to hear it a few weeks back. If you ask nicely you'll be able to get a listen," she mused lightly. He hadn't heard it yet, she didn't think... he'd been busy with work, but it'd be nice for him to hear it before the baby got here, she was sure.
